1. Matt Wright - October 11, 2006

Once again the teaser is full of stock CGI Enterprise footage, you can see the mirror Earth from Miri and PSI 2000 from The Naked Time in various clips used.

2. Adam Cohen - October 11, 2006

Bah, who cares about the stock footage! Spock is 100% hilarious in this episode. You’ll get your fresh clips soon enough, Matt!

3. Duane Boda - October 11, 2006

Trek Classic? Since when does goofy episodes equal classics? No Way!

4. Adam Cohen - October 11, 2006

Harry Mudd is a classic character, I would argue that it is indeed a classic episode. Other goofy episodes that qualify as “classics” are “A Piece of the Action” and “The Trouble With Tribbles.” The terrible 3rd season episode “The Way to Eden” was indeed goofy, but is by no means a classic.

5. Matt Wright - October 11, 2006

I gotta agree with Adam’s list. A Pice of the Action is horribly cheezy but a total TOS classic. I learned about mobsters from that episode as a kid, and the Fizzbin scene is a total classic… except on Tuesdays.

6. Smitty - October 11, 2006

One thing I beg to be tweaked.

The (in)famous insert where Norman reveals himself to be an android.

I’ll forgive a lot but a metal hinged door painted with makeup I won’t.

7. Josh - October 12, 2006

So this will be the first time we get to see if they update the opening titles to, third season I believe? Or was “I,Mudd” second, wait I can’t believe it!
Which season is “I,Mudd?”

8. Duane Boda - October 12, 2006

2nd I do believe.

9. Magic_Al - October 12, 2006

Agreed something has to be done with the little door on Norman’s chest. He’d infiltrated the Enterprise by getting himself assigned to the ship as a crewman. They somehow missed that in his medical exam? :-D

10. Michael - October 12, 2006

According to McCoy in the episode opening, Normal refused to report twice for his exam. Spock told him he was no doubt terrified by his beads and rattles.

I hope they update his internals too. If they can update the chronometer in Naked Time then they can give Norman a more updated internal configuration.

2nd Season BTW.

11. Smitty - October 13, 2006

^No doubt, true that 60s era transistors looked otherworldly and futuristic. Nowadays not so much.

I’m thinking something along the lines of Data’s internals. Have it be revealed with a quick push/tap and open again like the top of Data’s head.

12. Tibs - October 14, 2006

This is a classic, although I’m disappointed each week because I’m itching to see Doomsday. Can anyone direct me to a broadcast schedule?

13. WYM - October 14, 2006

14. kirok - October 15, 2006

in this episode you get another instance of james doohan revealing that he really hates shatner’s guts. when scotty is thrown into the arms of kirk and mccoy, you can see how he avoids being touched by kirk.

15. dhpbear - November 13, 2007

I just bittorrented the ‘enhanced’ version of “I’ Mudd”. That “Bead and Rattles” dialog was CUT! I’m hoping this was TiVo’ed and not ripped from the DVD.
