I would like to see the results of the universe that Spock and Nero left behind after they entered the black hole and arrived in the new Star Trek (2009) Movie

I truly loved TAS series. I bought the DVD's when they came out and watched them all! Hard to believe how short they were though without commercials. That was the time anyway when I ran to the kitchen and reloaded my bowl of Quisp!

I would really like to see them utilize the voices of the originals we have left (Shatner [i.e. Priceline negotiator], Nimoy, Takei, Nichols and the rest) before they pass on like Kelley and Doohan (miss you two).

Here's to keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

I really enjoyed the original Trek animated show. I love it. I just baught the box set and am watching it for the first time. I think trek works great in animation. I think it could do really well, if taken seriously like the live action show.

The concept- A darker future with the United Federation of Planets almost disbanded- is good. However, Star Trek has become something of a joke in the late Generation Y and Generation Z, and being a "Trekkie" has become somewhat of a "bad" thing, so Generation Z would veer away from this new Star Trek.

I'm not trying to say that Star Trek is old news. However, the majority of the viewers would be Generation X and early Generation Y, people who remember when The Original Series, The Next Generation, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine would have new shows.

The other part of the concept, the patrol ship concept, just seems a bit... odd. Four-fifths of the ships featured on Star Trek (TOS, TNG, VOY, and ENT...) had the same basic mission: Boldly go where no man has gone before, explore new life and new civilizations, etc, etc. (DS9 was a spaceport, though I think it got its share of exploring new life/civilizations.) Would this new series really veer that far away from the basic mission, therefore making it more like a completely separate series from Star Trek? Or would the Captain somehow come through and force the crowd to explore new life/civilizations?

Though, I must admit, the divided crew concept is interesting. It's vaguely reminiscent of the mirror universe episodes. (eg, Mirror, Mirror; In A Mirror, Darkly, Parts 1 and 2.)

And it leaves the question- what happened to the Tellarites?
