Dannyboy1 (#107)

you raise an extremely interesting point. If what your saying is true, then not only is Kirk still in the Nexus, Picard is as well. And that being said everybody on the Enterprise-D is dead, and the last 13 years have been a figment of the Nexus. The only way to leave the Nexus would be to beamed or tractored out from an outside source.

Not that i'm a fan of using the Nexus in another movie, it is an interesting theory.

I know! Spock on death bed sees Kirk with arms outstretched to bring him to heaven which may even be the nexus! Now anytime someone dies we can just fly their to coax them back for another movie!!! What is it the guiness guys say "Brilliant!"... Kidding of course! But everyone remember Anthony your my witness I called it Spock on deathbed gonna happen. I swear to god it will be like the DS9 epp with older Jake on death bed (so to speak) and when you leave the theatre you will be sobbing worse than Wrath of Kahn because it will be that powerful and emotional and whats more important it will be final.

I don't think they'd have to pay royalties. I'm pretty sure that's something they make you sign away before they make the episode.

You know, making it officially 100% property of the franchise.

All this supposition about about the Nexus has me wondering. As I understand it, if they use something like the Nexus or Guardian of Forever, don't they have to pay royalities to the writer for that episode?

Something else to think about might be: Why has Nimoy signed on? What got him to think "This is a good script?"

I don't think we can reliably read much into the t-shirt or poster. The font and the gold-blue emblem are meant to be obvious. Anything more detailed is just supposition, although once the movie is released, we may see something minor in hindsight- the red stars, for instance, may turn out to be an in-joke as to how many red shirts die.

Anyone try using a red or blue lens over the starfield? Maybe there's a clue there.

Someone said something about the T-shirt being black, but it looks kind of gray to me. Back in the old days, gray was the color that the cadets wore.

I know this kind of contradicts the general impression that's out there, but it's a curious observation just the same.

You'll be horribly surprised when the movie is all about Spock helping B-4 to reintegrate Data's katra into his positronic net.

Ew, that sounds horrible.
