For some reason this episode reminds me of DOCTOR NO.

You’ve got the false-jovial host, showing them around his island. He eventually locks them in a prison cell. Then they escape into the enormous air vents, just like Bond and Honey Ryder.

Also kind of reminds me of a scene in INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM, when Dr. Noel thinks that Kirk is pawing at her when he’s really checking out the ducts…

#39 Very funny!

I’ve come to enjoy a bit of “Shatner Cheese” with my TOS! His sometimes over the top and hammy acting style is fun to watch, for the most part, and it’s part of the charm and fun of the original series.

But the TOS episode that wins the “Shatner Ham and Cheese Acting Award” has to go to….. opening the envelope….”The Omega Glory” Congratulations!

That episode (especially the final scenes) is the absolute apex of Shatner hamminess and overacting! By cleverly combining overly dramatic music with a generous helping of “Shatner Ham” you get a scene that is so over the top bad, that it’s almost good and unintentionaly funny too.

IMHO, I don’t care what they do in the promo for the most part.

If it convinces someone to see the episode, then it’s done it’s job.

It’s the EPISODES that I care about, not the advertising.
