I know I’m probably the only one who thinks this, but I found the fake God of Sha Ka Ree from Star Trek V to be a bit scary.

Think about it: In spite of all the cliches (God looking like Santa, eyes shooting lightning/lasers, etc.), wouldn’t it be intimidating to face him, especially that part before the Klingons show up and blast him (those glowing eyes keep me up at night sometimes)?

Maybe I’m the only one who ever thought of this, but I thought the whole idea of “macrocosm” was pretty scary.

First Contact was much scarier than Schisms. When the Borg quietly slide behind crew members and inject them with nanotubules.. also where you see Human skin being replaced by Borg, and ocular implants inserted into them..

Schisms isn’t scary. The Star Trek Voyager episode where the whole crew decomposes is much scarier. At the start Chakotay strokes his hair but it all falls out, then Neelix changes colour.. before you know it the whole crew is aging rapidly, then people fall ill. Only at the end do you find out what’s causing the decomposition and by then it’s too late…
- also the best plot twist of any Trek episode I’ve seen!

Am I the only one freaked out by the transporter accident in Star Trek The Motion Picture? I was about 5-6 when I saw it in the theater and and still like the movie but couldn’t watch (or hear) that scene until I was about 30. Now it just looks goofy. But kinda cool.

I’m surprised ‘Skin of Evil’ (NG) wasn’t even mentioned. The episode where Yar was killed by Armus. Gave me nightmares for a week growing up.

THOLIAN WEB when they find the USS DEFIANT with everybody dead and when McCoy puts his hand through the dead body and the table then everybody on the USS ENTERPRISE keep seeing CAPTIAN KIRK materialising every now and then like UHURA in her cabin in the ENGINE ROOM and finaly on the BRIDGE

NIGHT TERRORS when RIKER waking up with the snakes in his bed of when DR CRUSHER is in the morgue and those bodies are are sitting up and how everyone on the USS BRATTAIN had died in someway like one baricated in their cabin surrounded with phasers as if they were afraid something was comming
