First Spy Shots From Star Trek Shoot November 8, 2007
by Anthony Pascale , Filed under: Star Trek (2009 film) , trackbackJFX Online have nabbed the first shots of the Star Trek location shooting, but unfortunately they don’t reveal much. None of the big stars can be seen and it seems the Abrams team planned ahead by issuing hooded trench coats to hide all the costume goodness.

Goto JFX Online for the photos, Plus more JFX images availbe at IESB.net.

Very cool.
They look like Jedi but looking at that pic the first thing that comes to my sick mind is ‘birng out your dead’ from a certain Monty Python movie.
HOLY CRAP !
Isnt that Shatner second from the left !!!
yawn… looks like 21st century fabric.
You can actually pick out some costume hints from these images. I saw some olive green and blue tunics under those cloaks with what looks like a zipper-front ribbed collar in a matching color. Greenish brown pants and a couple of varieties of boots, including some silvery moon boot types. One of the women was bare-legged; mini-skirt perhaps?
Well, at least we’re getting some good views of the footwear :).
(Looks like black rubberized shoes, and black pants. I’m thinking Starfleet uniforms. Any bets on whether the folks with hoods up are Vulcans?
Also, pant colors seem to match shirt colors — black/black, olive/olive, white/white.
…and on the back of the coats there’s printing that reads:
“J.J. Abrams hired me for his new Star Trek film,
and all I got was this stupid hoodie.”
thrilling
I would not find it surprising at all if the extras were dressed in bogus costumes under those coats, if only to throw us off.
Jeezus. I think I’m becoming one of you Grassy Knoll/WTC conspiracy theorists out there. ‘Scuze me whilst I adjust my tinfoil hat…… ;-)
Way to reinforce the negative attitude regarding patriots who are concerned for the country, Viking.
JJ.Bring back the miniskirts(it’s canon).
well that’s a bit of a tease
Negative attitudes toward WTC conspiracy theorists are grounded in reality and common sense. Doesn’t matter how “patriotic” they evaluate themselves to be.
#11
Alex Jones listener yes?
I bet you have infowars in your bookmarks too.
-cs™
No pointed sideburns and pants to ankles. More like “Enterprise”.
So it begins…
Except for one of the black male actors, none of the others are sporting the pointed sideburns. Maybe these are decoys.
None of the actors seem to have the traditional Starfleet sideburns – but that was a TOS series thing not neccessarily pre-TOS.
Exactly. No one in “The Cage” has the pointed sideburns except Spock.
#14 – thank you, sir. It wasn’t proffered as a personal attack, merely a tongue-in-cheek observation.
What other site could get from Star Trek to WTC conspiracies in ten posts? :p
CanuckLou – maybe this is why the New England Patriots seem so invincible – they’re running their offense from the Abrams Playbook. I think we may be seeing so many fakes, reverses, double-pumps, and draw plays, we’re all getting faked out of our cleats here. LOL ;-)
@23 Amen – plus did you notice how many people in those pictures seem to be looking directly into the camera and smiling!
#22 – I post at a couple that could do it in three or less, even if the thread was about your grandmother’s chocolate chip cookie recipe.
I hang out in some strange neighborhoods, broham. :-D
And so it begins
I told myself that I wasn’t going to completely spoiler out and look where I end up at the drop of a hat.
And Stanky, for someone with little interest in this fake movie it is indeed curious to find you on this thread so soon. Are you here to point at us and laugh? Or deep down are you giddy like a schoolgirl for the new movie?
I tease.
CanuckLou – if we’ve been getting smoke blown up our asses all along, I hope Roberto is prepared to get a Shatner-esque roasting over it right here at this site. :-D
I’m giddy. I admit it. Amazingly 60s-like haircuts.
Dennis, can’t you go anywhere without bringing your hateful, vitriolic, left-wing nutcase agenda voice of criticism and empty superiority with you?
Apparently not.
Hey #10, that’s exactly what the nerds want! (throws up hands in disgust) I must be careful lest i burn myself out before the premiere. I was one who saw a crappy katie holmes flick just to see the trailer for Nemesis. Hey Mr. Orci tell JJ to put the teaser before a good movie, so i don’t completely waste my money
These could be Starfleet “flight suits” instead of actual uniforms. Like the one piece jump suits that Air Force pilots or astronauts wear. Just speculation of course.
Sweeeeeet.
And seriously, who really cares about whether they have pointed sideburns or not? That’s not something I’ve ever paid any attention to.
this is hilarious. i love that people are actually trying to extrapolate (ooh, star trek word; wonder if i spelled it right) anything from these shots.
Very cool. Love the hoodies..JJ is one step ahead of us! Gotta love it.
#30. Excelsior Prime
Don’t be such a child.
IF they show up in this film wearing jumpsuits I am going to puke.
Wanna’ know something truly geeky? I cut my sideburns with a Starfleet point for Halloween and have kept them this way because my wife likes ‘em.
Does this movie really have to look like the sixties?
I think the makers of TOS were trying to make it look like the 23rd century.
i’m thinking these are cadet uniforms for the starfleet academy scenes. why else would so many extras be in one place at one time?
Why do all male starfleet personell have those pointy sideburns anyway? What kind of regulation is that?Maybe that’s what the new movie will be about.
#39:”Does this movie really have to look like the sixties?
I think the makers of TOS were trying to make it look like the 23rd century.”
Well, they only succeeded in making it look like the 60s. Miniskirts, bright colors – my God, avocado-colored clothing!
Velour fabric was a very 60s “mod” thing too – “Lost In Space” used the same material in their tunics.
Of course, how you can say that this looks like “21st century fabric” when all we can see are collars and cuffs is a mystery anyway.
Wow…. actors…and they’re in HOODIES! GASP!
No offense, but this barely qualifies as news…
# 42
Dennis, that’s enough of your left-wing nutcase theories
Just kidding. Ha. :p
Because I’m sure that the mainstream audience would want to see a blockbuster that looks like a 60’s television program. Love the old Trek, but anyone who actually thought that this film would look like TOS is a fool. They have to modernize it to make it palatable to people outside the Trek community, and by the (very tiny) looks of it it seems that they are doing alright.
#38 (snipped) “…because my wife likes ‘em.”
LOL! You *are* a wise man!
However, my little brother outgeeks you by light years! ;-) About 30 years ago, as soon as he was able to grow out his sideburns, he shaved them to “Jim Kirk sideburns” and has worn them that way ever since.
Peace. Live long and prosper.
The Vulcanista }:-|
#44: “Dennis, that’s enough of your left-wing nutcase theories
Just kidding. Ha. :p”
Well, given that in this case my “left-wing nutcase theory” is that Al Queda was responsible for the 9/11 attacks rather than some secret conspiracy, I’m mildly puzzled myself.
#42
They say first impression is very important.
JJ had better release something big SOON!
The pant legs I saw looked like a good business suit material.
Funny you bring up Lost in Space. Now that was a successful remake.
Minus the monkey. And I have stated befor how I loved the uniforms the Robinsons wore. Picture those uniforms on the ST cast, but with the vibrant colors we remember from TOS. That would be great IMO.
But it will never happen.
Well, MY theory is that all we know about what supposedly happened on that awful day is what this government has chosen to tell us. And–sorry, but I’ve been around the block once or twice–governments tend to lie. This one, more than most.
However complacent most Americans are in their certitude, my gut feeling is that we know as much regarding the “truth” about 09/11 as the posters at this site know about the Starfleet uniforms and ship designs. Of course, this also includes the “conspiracy theorists.”
Dirty Dennis – Our resident lighting rod. Amazing the number of new (and not so new) posters who don’t bother to read the original refered to posts in question before they go on the attack. Reading is a skill folks.
Good for JJ Abrahms and Company! Continue to keep a tight lid on the sets and don’t allow anyone to sneak any photos. I want the next movie to be a surprise and I’m not interested in spy photos from “Trek Papparazzi”.
Mike :o
#30 Excelsior —
Huh? Since when is agreeing that WTC conspiracy theorists are nutcases a “left-wing” attitude? Methinks you’re seeing what you want to see, without actually noting the meaning of what he wrote….
As for the photos, I think it must be the Academy. At least, I’m hoping so — the single-color uniforms (or even jumpsuits), with shirt and pants matching, just seems very…TMP for my taste.
(I actually love TMP, but the uniforms could….use some work.)
Sensors detect a thread drift, Captain.
Shields up! RED ALERT!!
Peace. Live long and prosper.
The Vulcanista }:-|
I hate to break this to everyone, but I don’t believe that these are Star Trek actors. It’s more likely that these are scabs crossing the WGA picket lines. Shame on them! Those handlers obvious expect to be pelted with eggs or stones, hence the hard hats!
#37
For the sake of the rest of the patrons in the movie theater with you, please try to make it to the men’s room before said puking commences.
Peace. Live long and prosper.
The Vulcanista }:-|
Hey guys, can we stay away from the political crap? Let’s just talk Star Trek here, please. Thank you.
Too bad that sneaky people are so prevelent that they have to sneak the actors around in parkas. No way to keep it under complete wraps for long, though. SOME employye or overzealous fan will catch them, and we’ll see a fuzzy photo, and the sniping will begin, based on the worst possible way to see it.
Ok, Vulcanista, I will bow to your brother’s geekiness. But I will admit that this is the second time in my life that I have chosen to wear the Starfleet point.
And I guess I’m not getting where the people saying that the movie looking like the 60’s is bad. What does the future actually look like? Me, I’m all for the “retro-future” look that reminds me of TOS. But that’s me.
F the uniforms, I heard the Enterprise looks like a “Pinto”.
JJ drove one back in High School.
#58
Hey, I *like* the pointy sideburns. Wish more men would adopt the look.
IMHO, retro future is okay, but it needs to take into account early 21st century sensibilities. We don’t want folks to be laughing at the screen for 120+ minutes, now, do we?
Ideally, it should have the flavor of 60s TOS but new and improved. Now, if I knew how to pull that off, well, I’d be one of those big-shot Hollywood folk rakin’ in the big bucks. :-)
Peace. Live long and prosper.
The Vulcanista }:-|
Wait, can’t Quinto be seen in this photo?
http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_zoom&Itemid=57&page=view&catid=562&key=2&hit=1
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!! This laughter is in response to whoever said the Lost in Space remake was a successful remake. The end product was so unrecognizable, the only thing they had in common with the originals were the names.
#61
And the robot had the same voice. But I ended up coming out of the theater thinking “Oh, the pain…”
I think that these are redshirts, who decided they’d better put on blue hoodies so that the Star Trek writers won’t blast them…
I love how one little innocuous comment by Yours Truly spun part of this thread into a different quantum state.
Hitch1969, my brutha, where you at to stir the pot?!? :-D LMAO
I like the doctor-guy’s footwear.
I hate to break this to everyone, but the hooded trenchcoats ARE the new uniforms!
The working title for the film is Snow Spock and the Seven Vulcans!!
(spit-take)
Good one, Harry. I was also thinking “Star Trek-Revenge of the Sith-Send in the Clones.”
Eyes Wide Shut party scene?
How ’bout Boyz in the Hoodz??
No wonder this movie is costing Paramount $150 million….look what they spent on disguises alone!!
BRING BACK THE TREKBURNS!!! Oh the horror.
It’s a small thing, sure, but c’mon, that subtle and consistent little style choice always made the Trek universe a little more real to me, more complete.
It won’t ruin the film… but, C’MON, really?? Are we to believe that someone actually sat in a meeting and chose against using the trekburns? What possible reason could there be to violate that tiny bit of canon?
Is this a mistake? Did someone in the hair department *forget* about them?
We know that the producers read this site, let’s let them know that there *are* fans of the trekburns out there (and surely the trekburns have no enemies).
It’s in the producer’s interest to fix this, too. I’m sure there will be people who will use this as ammunition in their mindless tirades against the film, and fixing it will save some headaches, on top of continuing a wonderful Star Trek tradition…
Who’s with me? :-)
Okay I wasn’t going to say anything until someone else mentioned it but in one of those pics I totally think it’s Jennifer Morrison from House…it totally looks like her hold on, I’ll link:

I think this is great!:) Anthony- when are the pics of the cast gonna come out?
The olive drab look like the jumpsuits worn by the colonists in This Side of Paradise — Spock’s wearing one here: http://thecia.com.au/star-trek/original-series/1/12a3.jpg
Some of the blue ones seem to have stirrups hooking beneath the feet.
I dunno what we’re seeing here, but I have an inclination that it’s a civilian outpost or at least not a starship.
#64
Lost in Space.
In comparison to the orignal LIS series, yes I do consider it a sucess.
FAR and BEYOND my expectations for the film. That is why I consider it a sucess. And yes the LIS costumes and uniforms were way better than in any Trek movie. And Smith’s ultimate fate was awesome! I think it was a very entertaining movie.
But the comparison to the new Star Trek is not wasted.
Look at the LIS movie again…
1. It was a remake of a 1960s science fiction TV series
2. I clearly took the time and budget to TRULY envision the concept
3 There was a devotion and respect to the original
4. They explored strange new worlds
5. It had a well done, interesting time travel plot that was
integral to the story
…I could go on further.
And Viking, you jest at the robot. But at least THEY TRIED something new. In all of Star Trek’s history ther has not been one memorable robot. Please do not mention the Exocomps. Now that was laughable.
IT’S THE 23rd CENTURY FELLAS. WHERE’ ARE THE ROBOTS?
A good idea (in respect to S.T. Cannon) may have been a new story that shows how the Federation was relying too heavily on robots, early on before TOS. A reliance that was capitalized by the Romulans as they were able to take control of the onboard robots to destroy the Federation starships.
Kinda like I Robot.
That way after the ‘Federation vs Romulan war,’ it was decided not to have robots on Starships anymore. Thus we never really see them in TOS.
I think it makes sense.
Thought anyone?
I was looking at the pictures, and noticed one of the hooded guys is most certainly a Vulcan. He has the Vulcan eyebrows, and if you look at his hairline, it’s similar to Vulcan hair. See below, I blew up the image 200%
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/PixelMagic/vulcan_extra.jpg
God, I hope those short little boots that one girl is wearing isn’t the main style for the crew!
PLEASE let it be one of the other styles with the pants hanging over them.
Oh, Mr. Orci,
If you do need help with the movie (writer strike) or want to chat drop me a line at startrekmovie @ gmail.com.
Yes. I’ll cross that line.
#76
Actually I loved the robot in the LiS movie too (at least the bigger blue version before he got reworked). That was a badass looking robot.
The movie itself isn’t great, but it’s certainly more watchable than other scifi flicks out there like Van Helsing or Mummy Returns or Underworld, which a lot of people seem to like for some inexplicable reason.
so is smoking still banned inside in the 23rd century?
I’m not TOO worried YET about the clunky, two-tone colored, ‘rubberised’ footwear, complete with ankle-length, loose-fitting trousers / jumpsuits, as seen in these photos …as long as this is NOT also the ‘elite’ uniform style of the new ‘Enterprise’ main crewmembers…
Still hoping for that TOS-flavored black high-booted and slightly flared at the ends, closer-fitted black trousered look…
And those ’short-booted’ females give me hope for a ‘mini-tunic’ look too… :)
Stanky allways makes sense!
^
#76 we went from 911 to lost in space based on some photos of extras.
Man that’s trippy.
^
2 problems I had with lost in space, 1-the original ship was used as a false workspace. Wtf?
2- that little blue ewok looking dog.
^
Alex Jones rules, read the Dulce papers to all the rest of ya.
Looks like they’re heading for the last rescue boat…
What little has been glimpsed kinda fits what I imagined the new look would be. They’ve clearly looked at TOS as the basis of their designs, but then taken into account all the subsequent uniform designs.
Also, if we slightly separate the shows and the TOS-based movies, we know that the 1960s design work and technology of TOS wouldn’t have ***suddenly*** developed into that seen in TMP. TMP was a big budget movie interpretation of a period shortly after TOS. In a sense, the aesthetic for Star Trek (2008) may well be ‘what would TOS uniforms have been like, based on the designs and and technology of TMP and beyond?’
As for stuff like Trekburns: people, en masse, in the 2000s don’t dress and wear their hair like people did in the 1980s, 1970s or 1960s, so there’s no reason why someone in the late 2260s would dress and wear their hair like someone did in the late 2250s!
#3:
Shatner is actually not there!
… or do you see someone wearing a tent instead of a trench coat? ;-)
*lol*
Folks, I know Bailey from elsewhere. He shows only some of his true colors here.
And #86, can’t you stretch your brain a little more than to rely on a very old and still VERY unfunny bashing of Bill Shatner?
The man might read these comments. Give him some respect, Jan.
Ex
I think it’s the best post yet on the new film!
=LOL=\\
These could be people anywhere doing anything.
BTW I am “Redshirt” NOT “Red Shirt” [#50]
but that’s okay, there were ALWAYS a lot of Redshirts!
#87: hey, just kidding :-) – I like Shatner
Anyone else clocked House starket Jennifer Morrison? In the blue coat?
Sorry. #73 you did. Apologies.
I thought the blue hood trenchcoats were some kind of SF Academy uniform.
For those of us old enough to remember the uproar over the first new images of the uniforms in ST-TMP , take a Star Trek-youngling aside, lie and tell them “It’ll all be fine”…….
Two words: CGI Sideburns.
Attempting to hide the uniforms is kind of silly. Pictures of this stuff will get out sooner than later anyway. I’ve got all the time in the world, J.J. :)
it looks like normal construction site to me. Its properly raining so they are wearing their raining coats. I guessing they are all illegal Mexican workers.
it that not quinto with his hand near his face??
It’s funny how many of the extras are giving the evil eye right at the photographer, they know he’s there, hanging halfway over an adjoining roof or something.
If I were Abrams, I would dress someone up in an actual old Trek uniform and let them be seen and photographed just to put one over on the fans.
That would be hilarious Diabolik
Anthony, can you get Jennifer Morrison confirmation?
#73
Jennifer Morrison?
She definitely is: check her pictures took last week on the IMDb. I could not tell any difference, if it’s not her it’s her clone: even the hairdye is the same. Of course, she may just be visiting the set or have a friend/relative in the crew or just shooting a cameo (is she a reported fan??)
ee-ay-ay-sew-dominay
*whack*
dough-na-ay-ees-requiemmmmm
*WHACK*
so i can’t spell in latin…sue me
xD
LOL@ Diabolik… I’d go one infamous step further… I’d have some plastic semi-see through ones specially made, with of course the naughty bits covered or cameoflaged… and have a few paid fools distract the camera’s while the real deal walks in in like worker’s clothes. ;-)
#102:
Pie Jesu, Domine, (thud)
Dona eis requiem. (thud)
:)
Nice reference, by the way.
87. I think MOST people know Dennis….still not an excuse to act childish……..as for Shatner…..The facts are he is ALOT bigger than ANY person shown in the photos…….so I would not call it BASHING.
Just sayin’………:-)
Quinto should of gave the photographer the \\//_
Just because, it would of been funny, yanno.
Olive green or gold shirt w/ black trim in that one photo ?
Hum, hum, hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
- W -
* Naw couldn’t be *
What I wanna know is why is Taco Bell always so damn stingy with the cheese?
It just ocurred to me how unbelievabley NEGATIVE most of the posters are over @ AICN… nearly every single post is bashing and tearing Abrams a new butt hole!! I like this place better.
Generally the posters at AICN are composed of either basement dwelling geeks that can give you the airdates and plot synopsis of every TV showed aired from 1962 to the present day or they are that kid from the LIFE cereal commercial. They hate everything.
Their comments are fun to laugh at but 99% of what they say is bashing the subject matter or each other. We only do that 51% of the time here.
“Their comments are fun to laugh at but 99% of what they say is bashing the subject matter or each other.”
I agree, actually.
“We only do that 51% of the time here.”
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
^102
Pie Iesu domine, dona eis requiem.
The Pie Jesu is a Catholic prayer for the dead, “Sweet Jesus, grant them eternal rest.”
Oh yeah, there is no “j” in classical Latin which used “i” so Jesus is seen as Iesus, James as Iames, etc. Modern spelling just uses the j.
And I guess the literal translation would be “Sweet Lord Jesus” but in English we usually say simply, “Sweet Jesus”.
Yeah, and it’s funny when them little cartoons jumps offa them cliffs!
I have to admit, I’m a little astonished by the level of secrecy associated with the production design.
I like Abrams a lot, but to make all your actors truance around in those trenchcoats all day is quite possible the dorkiest thing I’ve ever seen.
Also, has anyone considered that those ARE the uniforms. Yeah, what do you think of Abram’s Star Trek now? Maybe Abrams predicts hoods are very hip in the 23rd century?
;-)
Shout out to Harry Ballz #66, didn’t see your post!
Maybe Tom Cruise should have been cast as Pike – they have the Scientology jackets for it!
Seriously, if this is some form of doppelganger to throw off the spies from where they are really shooting, some of these folks are styled for it. Some of them, when they aren’t hooded up, have the Starfleet hairstyles from TOS era.
Someone on another site did a quick sketch of what they thought these uniforms may look like underneath, and I like it if its anywhere close to the speculation. Kind of close to the TOS dress uniforms up top, but not the shimmery fabric.
All these Latin phrases are making me flashback to my years in grade school at Our Lady of Perpetual Misery……………..ah, good times!!
72. Chance, I was thinking the exact same thing before I even read your post.
I think this is John Cho. http://www.jfxonline.com/jfxonline/2007/11/08/on-set-im-an-extra-jim-not-a-cult-member/jj-abrams-star-trek-begins-production-36/
Here is a comparison. http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/6523/Events/6523/John_Jean_14862954_400.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Cho,%20John
A hard hat in the 23rd century? What? Canon Police! Canon Police! Just kidding. :)
A hundred comments about a photo that reveals absolutely nothing. Sounds like cable news!
so where are they filming this is it the pommona fairplex or the ontario international airport
.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but these first shots did nothing for me. I spent hours in Photoshop trying to pick out the slightest details!
.
I’ll just wait for the professional promo shots, likely during the next COMICON.
*giggles*
did anyone else notice the new set of Britany Spear’s gooch shots on the same site? Those had more detail than these costumes lol.
It is the will of landru
That is so awesome!!!
Thank you, David. I am indebted.
Boy, she really likes to let the air get at it, doesn’t she??
Interesting level of security on a film. These trenchcoats had to be ordered in advance I’m sure I’ll see these trenchcoats copys at future conventions. “The official extra coast”. Wee hoo!
^
These pictures feel staged to me. Like it was allowed to happen and then be put on this site.
^
Its trek, but not as we know it.
“Extra trenchcoats”not Coast,,
^
This type box is killing me.
I just read on another website that some people believe to have spotted Casey Affleck in one of these spy pics.
I believe they are referring to this pic: http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_zoom&Itemid=57&page=view&catid=562&PageNo=&key=3&hit=1
There’s another one with the same guy in it on the page.
Here’s a photo of Affleck from the IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/6555/Events/6555/ActorCase_Leste_14941898_400.jpg.html?path=pgallery&path_key=Affleck,%20Casey
I’m not sure. There’s some resemblance but it might be a coincidence.
I wonder if, while wearing those hooded trenchcoats, the cast are tempted to march single-file and sing, “high-ho, high-ho, it’s off to Trek we go….”
Did they know the camera was their? It’s like they were posing for the photos? :)
Ladies and Gentlemen
I was just finished re-watching TWOK …again.
And I took notice of David Marcus’s uniform.
Olive and White.
Could it be that these actors are portraying the research arm of Starfleet?
Take into account that Jennifer Morrison was spotted amongst the group.
Commence speculation.
#87:”Folks, I know Bailey from elsewhere. He shows only some of his true colors here.”
Yes, Batman/Kal-L/Superman or whatever you call yourself these days. Now, if you’re going to hang here you’ll need to learn to behave.
Casey Affleck?? Oh, say it ain’t so!! The one thing we don’t need is one of the Affleck clan stinking up the production!
As the duck would say, “AFFLECK!!”
Both of the Afflecks are quite talented – this stands to be a pretty good year for the both of them, too, what with the release of “Gone, Baby Gone.”
Well, Dennis, I will bow to your opinion, as I have seen some of Casey’s work, but not all of it. If you give your stamp of approval on something, it’s GOTTA be good!!
Good. Now eat your brussels sprouts. ;)
Aaawwwwwwwww……………………
I liked the “Lost In Space” movie too.
141, Yes, Lost in Space is a good movie.
But why no sequel. Is it because the story was too grande in scope?
Could the new Star Trek face a similar problem? No where else to go that would/could top it?
If they had not had so much invested, or not had the prompting of others (Bennet, Rodenberry,) would STROK have ever happened?
Or was it the continued success of Star Wars?
There are alot of elements to consider that made Star Trek originally work.
LAST!
Well there are two things they really can’t change in this movie, that is the Uniforms and the Enterprise. I mean little tweaks are to be expected on both, but anything major and it will become a distraction. Think about it, here comes a big scene and you are leaning over talking to your friend telling him that you can’t believe Scotty is wearing green instead of red. I would bet that JJ Abrams, knows this could happen, and we will see Uniforms and the Enterprise, that we would recognize.
Maybe…just maybe…they are all druids….
Isn’t that Winona Ryder behind Jennifer?!?!?!?!?
