I really dont see this guy as Spock yet!! All we are doing is giving Spock some interesting eyebrow changes fromtthick to thin to thick again. I hands down prefer the cage look, ZQ should have lost weight and lifted a little iron. Pronounce those cheek bones and deepen the voice and I am a believer. Until then I am NOT convinced.

I just finished watching Balance Of Terror TOS HD-DVD and it’s amazing how similar Quinto’s wardrobe looks compared to the uniforms worn by the Romulans in that episode…….coincidence? I think not!!

Wow, he really does….n’t look that much like Nimoy. His nose is the wrong shape.

Oh well, I second what people are saying about his voice. That’s the make or break. From appearances, he certainly looks Vulcan, but not as much like Spock as he probably could.

205. Yeah, looks like a wig to me too, or maybe hair extensions. I was hoping he’d have his hair cut like Spock as ZQ’s pretty much got the right hair type anyway…I was hoping they’d avoid any Next Generation type wigs which marred the the last Star Trek movie by looking too fake.

In fact, I was hoping to see Spock with longer hair ala ST: The Motion Picture, with him having his famous Spock basin-cut do once he boards the Enterprise…oh well. No Spock eye shadow either from what I can make out, but he does look great.

Not sure about the potato sack pullover – again, looks a bit too Next Gen Romulan for me. Spock’s black garb from the Motion Picture or Star Trek 6 would be more fitting.

I’m only judging by these few pics, so I’m sure there’ll be more outfits I’ll like!

Any news on the casting of Sarek?

That looks like a wig to me, a very good wig, but I’m almost positive it’s a wig. No wigs should be allowed! Get a real haircut like a real Vulcan.

I’ll bet he had a lot of fun getting his eyebrows plucked and shaved. LOL

I feel sorry for young Zac, everybody and his grandma is going to be scrutinizing every little nitpicky thing about him and his performance. It was easier for Leonard because he was first and got to set the standard, now Zac has to try to live up to that standard. I don’t envy him…….well……. actually I do. But I hope he has a thick skin.

I think Quinto was just trying to dodge Kimmel’s bullet w/o really revealing anything about the level of Nimoy’s involvement or anything else about the film, for that matter. I also think that Kimmel’s a closeted Trekkie!

TPTB are being so secretive, you gotta wonder whether the Dept. of Defense is producing this, rather than Paramount. Really, JJ and Bad Robot should take over the Dept. of Homeland Security duties. They’d probably be much better at it.
