Yeah. Great episode. I like it original, this remastered stuff is like trying to re-master your granny that you are fond of. Just leave her alone. Am i making any sense?

Those new shots looked very good and fitted the show very nicely. Now all I need to do is buy the newer improved versions. I’ll keep the first edition region 2 DVD as there’s nothing wrong with them and the Dolby stereo digital 5.1 mix is totally different from the original monaural sound that I’ve heard for many years.

I am a bit disappointed that they did not take this opportunity to show some of the other federation designs for starships beside the constitution class. I know they want to be true to the original show but I can’t help but to think that if the original show had the budget they would have built some variant models of federation starships instead of using the enterprise for every federation ship.

It would have been a nice visual that would have expanded the view of the trek world and could have been done with the same consistency to the original concept as the rest of the show.

I liked all the shots in that fx video, bar the opening shot of the 'E' at the beginning. It was VERY poorly lit, and didn't seem to remotely match the overall 'flat' look of the other shots in the video, and the style we've come to accept from CBS Digital...

because there is no answer to my plea.

Is there no one in starfleet that can help me?

I have noticed something about how the original episodes were aired way out of order from the way they were produced. I also noticed that they were probably not as into continuity in the 60s as they are today, being that you rarely hear any of the mention an event that happened in a previous episode.

#76
There's a stock shot of the Enterprise approaching the camera where the starboard nacelle's back end is eaten away. I think the blue screen was reflecting off the nacelle on the model, which caused that part of the nacelle to be replaced by the background.

Note that you can see some stars through the nacelle's back.

I’m not sure he said anything past that. Are You Sure? "

I could have sworn he says something after that. It looked to me his mouth was moving, but his voice was drowned out by the sound effects.
