Like NPR's Science Friday, I think this feature is a cool idea! Let's do it!

As to the NASA mission patch designed by TREK veteran Michael Okuda, I like it (and even if I didn't, I find the best way to show my feelings is (1) say something tactfully. As a high school teacher I find at least one good thing to say to my students, even if their work has shortcomings or (2) as my momma used to say "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing").

I look forward to seeing real world science reports in here!

#56. The moon doesn't even look like the lunar surace. It looks lie a blacktop-paved road with pot holes. lol. I see them all over the place in New Orleans.

Science Saturday or Sunday or whenever gets my vote! It's hard for me to see how anyone could be pro trek but anti tek. I've been facinated with science and technology for nearly as long as I've been facinated with the Enterprise. Keep it coming.

I have to agree with the naysayers on the patch, tho. It lacks the detail or an effective color scheme that the Apollo 11 patch had. It's not terrible, just kind of dull, IMO. It nods to the original, but with no panache or flair.

What bothers me with the patch is that... it seems to have half the detail that the original Apollo 11 patch had. That makes it look like a kid using MS Paint did it.

The patch looks cartoony, to CGI-y, has no real weight to it. ;)

I will continue to express my dislikes for Apollo-R, TOS-R, Okuda, CBS-D, etc.....in a respectful manner of course. The challenger reference was a bit much.

I will also not use references to disasters and try to keep things civil. This incident is over.

Stradivarius or Englehardt??

Hey, to Sean, if you want to go insulting people, espeically Mr. Okuda, please go somewhere else. I do realise it is you're opinion, and freedom of speech and all. But come on. You can keep these kinds of comments to yourself. It is okey to do that you know.
