I think JJ is a brilliant man when it comes to TV/film and the business. If this movie turned out to be a big flop, that would hurt JJ big time (I think). why? beause of the fact the he DID demand such secrecy. I don't think he would take this gamble if he didn't think it would work outt. I envision that the movie will be really good, and that it will have a better second weekend then first. Those who were brave enough to try it opening day will be like "That was so cool, I have to tell all my friends" and then those same guys will show up the following weekend with there friends and fill up the seats. Looks as if G4 has dropped TNG completely too (anyone know for sure....it does't come up when I search my Directv guide for it). KRAD will be happy to know the Pocket Books line makes my best of. Lots of good stuff released this year. Hopefully the new flick is a huge hit and we'll see more titles released. Not a Star Trek convention but Patrick Stewart showed up at the Jules Verne Film Festival in December in order to honor William Shatner with the JV Lifetime Achievement Award. It was great seeing Patrick and Bill joking with each other.
