Pictures From Nimoy’s Gallery Opening

Leonard Nimoy’s exhibit for the “Full Body Project” opened tonight in LA

The “Full Body Project” exhibit kicked off tonight at the Louis Stern Fine Arts Gallery in Los Angeles. There was a big crowd and everyone wanted to talk to Mr. Nimoy. I had brief moment to chat with the man of the hour. He didn’t have time for any interviewing, but he did promise to send in more “Nimoy Logs.”

Here are some shots of the show.

The show runs at the Louis Stern Gallery until March

what a shame- i’ll be busy eating carefully so won’t be able to make it.

He’s busier than most 76 year olds I know!

Go Leonard!

Looks like he’s enjoying himself and proud of his work; that’s really great to see.

Hope it has a great run at the gallery. Rock on, Mr. Nimoy.

Leonard looks fantastic!
I wish he would take Bill up on his offer and appear on Boston Legal.
They could both dress up in Star Trek attire for Halloween.

Leonard, I do like your photos and I hope, Bill will buy some of them as he did before.

BTW, I think I’ve come to terms with your Late Late Show remark. I know you and your friend Bill both have a puckish kind of humor and I’m quite sure by now your remark is to be seen in light of that.

Anthony, please allow my final two cents on that already moldering issue. :)

Leonard, I’m looking forward to your upcoming blogs and would appreciate any spoiler.

I wonder if this new movie has strained Bill and Leonard’s friendship?

I love the word mouldering, sounds like an old word.

“BTW, I think I’ve come to terms with your Late Late Show remark.”

What did Nimoy Unit say???

Very nice when an actor can find happiness outside of the cutthroat ruthlessness of show business and find expression in an entirely new medium. And if he uses his celebrity to open a show, so be it. It may expose a new audience (Trek fans drawn to the exhibit by the Nimoy name) to the art of photography. Live long and prosper, Nimoy! And I doubt the lack of Shatner in the new movie could ruin a 40 odd yr friendship; the final decision to have Shatner in the film is NOT Nimoy’s! He’s just an actor this time. Shatner had his swan song in Generations. Let it go, already. I like the character of Kirk, too, and Kirk will be in the film (albeit recast). Besides, would ANYONE want to see a 76 yr old Shatner playing a younger version of himself??? Me neither!

I can appreciate Mr. Nimoy’s photography if for no other reason because I would make a great model if he ever does a male version! All the success in the world to you, sir!

He commented on Ferguson that his book cover had been censored, and none of his pictures could be shown. Come on, show the nikked ladies!
Lord knows, I can barely keep much worse things from a-poppin into my puter.

May I refer you to the “Nimoy talks Spocks and Shatner” thread? Thanks.

Looks like Mr. Nimoy recently got a hair cut and got rid of his Spock bangs. Must be done with filming for now.

nice :)

Leonard Nimoy @ 76 is like the Mick Jagger of acting.(still going)

He sorta has those pointed Trek sideburns in that one close-up 3/4 profile in the gallery.I’m also assuming that the they are poytraying Spock as graying because they’re still shooting and his hair isn’t dyed solid black unless it washes out at the end of the day.

His hair and sideburns were more Spock-like in the previous TV interview clips so he may indeed be done with his scenes. It’s also possible he wears a wig in the movie because it’s more controllable and saves time.

Can I buy these in a book format???I’d pay $$$ for them.
Nimoy is an outstanding artist.

You can see some of works on his official website, and let me say that some are great and some are great “in the eyes of the beholder” personally I am not attracted to his pics of the larger than large women. Yuch….

I have seen Mr Nimoy and briefly spoke to him recently and his mind and body is still there, good.genetics I guess.

So in otherwords, good for him and he is a perfect example of what keeping your mind and body active, pays off, he looked great and is a rather friendly guy when you have the opportunity to meet him outside of a large convention.

Iowagirl,
I doubt Mr. Nimoy is worried how you took any comment he’s made.

Well Done Mr. Nimoy!:)

Keep up the awesome work.

Xai,
Your doubt is certainly founded, but interaction is an integral part of this board and, therefore, never amiss.

who’s that tall guy near the window..pic 1

Quinto??

It’s nice to see that Leonard brought his Tribble with him to this event (second from the last photo).

Aside from being a VERY nice man, he’s an incredible artist and photographer as well. He was always a good friend to my Father.

Leonard! Congratulations on all the successes you are having, it was great working with you and I will always be appreciative of your support !!

Chris or Mr. Doohan I’d love to hear, or read in this case, some behind the scenes stuff your dad may have told you about Trek. If you like, or not. Up to you.

Nimoy continues to impress me. I mean, give me a break the man is 77 years old or whatever…. Nobody that old that I know is still out there doing things like this.

27.

Thanks, you can read my blog at http://www.myspace.com/chrisdoohan or you can reach me through http://www.dilithiumcrystal.com

Agreed. I want to be like that when I’m that age. Hell, I’d love to have that much energy *now*! One of the reasons I admire him and Shatner so much. They’ve redefined “The Golden Years.”

I wish he would bring an exhibit south to ATL. I’d love to see any of his work up close in non-book form.

Peace. Live long and prosper.

hey, guys!
being 76 is not being old!
You´re talking about mr Nimoy as if he ought to be a gaga granny!

Whats the matter to you? Do Americans have bad genes or do they grow older than any normal European at 76?

Mr Nimoy,
Are you looking for any more plus sized women ? I am interested in volunteering . I am an extra in Hollywood CA.
I would love the opptournity . I’m size 24 and 5 ft 11.
I thank you for doing this. I was very excited once i heard about this project.
We do not have many people out there that think plus size is beautiful.

If you need a big blond let me know.
