I am not a Star Trek fan but if Karl Urban is in the movie, I’ll not only go to
see the movie, I definitely will buy the DVD. Hot, Hot, Hot.
Miss the manly facial hair though.

Am I the only person who thinks Anton Yelchin looks like a perfect McCoy? (In this photo at least?)

I would be getting confused if he was on the bridge. I would assume he was McCoy.

my biggest issue with this movie is Pine’s eyes…. Kirk (Shatner) has brown eyes. I hope to god they insert brown contacts during filming. Kirk HAS BROWN eyes….screw his hair color. Pine sort of fullfill’s the roll as long as he has brown eyes. Other than that the rest of the crew looks great, especially Quinto and Urban..plus Zoe just looks perfect all together!!! :)

Interesting to note that Chirs Hemsworth (Georg Kirk–the father of James T. Kirk) is only three years older than Chris Pine (Kirk Rebooted?). Definately time travel in this movie…and WOW those eyes!!!

#157: Nah! I’m 41 (same age as Trek), but knew all along they had to go young this time if they were to go at all. The question was: would they do it right?

Well, look at that cast. You tell me.

Me, I’ve seen enough. I’m on board. That pic of Quinto and Pine “gave me chills” also. Urban as Bones–check. Uhura (insert basey “Oh my… here)–check. I mean, look at her eyes…she’s got that same kind of grounded intelligence going on. And the nacelles look perfectly proportioned to me.

Somebody was bound to say it. You’d think maybe some dumb kid, but, you’d be wrong.

Hey, Trek was progressive, not politically correct. Roddenberry’s Kids, right? Sure are a lot of us….

I’m okay with the casting choices for the most part. Aside from my desire to see a more true-to-form, “ample” Uhura, hopefully Quinto will appear taller than Pine in their respective roles. Even in realizing that these actors are “re-creating” the characters, I feel there are a few physical characteristics that should remain consistent with TOS. Besides the Quinto/Pine height disparity, I agree with an earlier comment that a Kirk with bright blue eyes just wouldn’t look right. I hope some of these nuances are addressed by the makeup dept.
