These scenes on the bridge remind me of Kirk’s entrance on the Enterprise-B bridge in Generations. All the press and journalists were sourrounding the captain the same way the surround Shatner on the Tour.

I am so not getting involved in Shatner v Pine again (which appears to have become the Kirk v Picard of the new generation), but I want to say that that was a great interview with Mr. Dwyer. It was a bit obvious that he doesn’t realize just how rabid the fanbase is (it’s an intercom… yeah, we know), but it was still a very informative, very… what’s the word? Very *nice* piece.

I was so hoping we were about to get a picture of the mysterious Tony when I saw the blooper come up. Sigh… :P

My theory has always been that they knew a strike was looming. If they truly wanted him they would have written in a scene for him long before the writers strike.

If six months up the road say they came up with a brilliant idea, but couldn’t put pen to paper (due to the strike) it’s a total cop out. If they truly wanted him he will be there in the end.

I hate to sound so harsh. I totally understand that Mr Orci and the others have a very tough job trying to re-launch this billion dollar franchise, but to many of us these characters are like extended family. If there is even a chance Kirk could be given a better ending we have to make the effort.

One point should be made about folks asking the producers that Shatner be included in the film… who knows it may still happen. But one thing is certain at this point and time, unless a scene was already written, it cannot be changed or one added until the writer’s strike is over.

Anthony, thanks for covering this event. I want to see the show, however, by the time the show arrives in my part of the country I will be serving in Afghanistan.

The photos and videos are great!

I hope to look as good as Shatner does when I am 76; he truly looks at home in the Captain’s chair. Seeing him in the center seat again just goes to prove he should be used in the movie somehow.

Heck, it could be as small a moment where someone asks Spock (Nimoy’s Spock) his last memory of seeing Kirk. Maybe the Captain and Spock discussing (foreshadowing) the need to reunify Vulcan and Romulus.

Since we cannot have one last scene with Bill, De, Jimmy and Leonard together, having the two would be quite fitting. Have faith,; this movie is going to be great!

Lastly, your site is awesome! Keep up the great work!
