Hi Chris

We met briefly (along with your brother Monty) at a convention in Birmingham England when you both accompanied your lovely dad James Doohan who was the principal guest at that convention.

I am so so pleased that you will appear in the forthcoming Star Trek movie, it is right and proper that a Doohan should appear in the film, pity you aren’t playing Scotty!

“J.J. Abrams. I not only think that he was the right guy to do this movie, I believe he’s the only one who could do it in a way that respects Gene Roddenberry’s vision. The fact that he asked Randy Pausch to be in the film proves that for me. Definitely a class act. Being on this film is a dream come true and I can’t thank him enough. ”

Your words are so true !!! I am so thrilled you will be in this film, This movie will be as close to the classic series as it can get with you and Mr. Nimoy in it. You deserve this more than anyone- I am proud of you.

Because people who can not contribute in a postive way are not needed.

Chris Doohan has contributed an awful lot to Star Trek and its fandom. He devoted his heart and soul to his this show and to his Dad’s fans. He deserves this part. He deserves all the support he got, because he is sooo giving.

Why don’t you forget your personal little vanities, take your lips off the bare bottom of an old man and see that Star Trek is about LOVE and not hate, not anger, not stardom, it’s not about ego.

It’s LOVE and that’s what I want to see from people playing these legendary characters.

I’m so glad to hear that Chris Doohan is in the new movie. It would have been wonderful if all the kids of the original cast were in it (who wanted to be) The ones who can’t act could have been extras.

Dear Chris Doohan,

My sincerest congratulations! This is Annie MacGregor from Dunbar. We never had the pleasure but I always thought your Dad looked like Rabbie Burns. He was a wonderful man, a true inspiration to us Scottish and he wasn’t too far away. Since we consider the Irish to be our closest Cousins.

Your Dad’s Scottish accent was lovely. He spoke the most beautiful, most educated Scots. Unfortunately nowadays true Scots is only spoken like that in the Highlands. I come from Dalwinnie and your father sounded a lot like my folks.

I’m looking forward to the movie. And as at least half-Irishman ;-) I welcome you to my clan. Christopher Doohan you are now an honorary MacGregor Of Dalwinnie
