A big thank you to JJ Abrams and the entire cast and crew taking the time out from a very busy shooting schedule, and answering the fans’ questions and chatting with them from the set. In my opinion, that shows respect and admiration for the fans. It also shows dedication and professionalism. Thank you again for taking the time to answer/chat. I look forward to seeing this film. I did get the chance, many, many years ago to attend a convention of sorts where some of the cast and Gene Roddenberry made the announcement for first Star Trek film. I’ve been a fan ever since(not a die-hard treker). You’ve got a first class team, both actors and crew!

#656: Kudos to another SFB player. I only briefly played the game in the late ’80s. I played quite a bit of Starfleet Command and I would try to pull off the same maneuver to get the drop on the Klingons in real time. Dropping mines is fun but I only used WW as a last resort. Speed = life in SFC. My favorite was the scatter pack shuttle. A six pack of destruction every time it pops open.

As long as they don’t see the ship either. Given Spock says no Human, Romulan or other seen the other or knows what a Romulan ship looks like. So all the talk of time travel that I couldn’t avoid must play into it. : )

Well, no, they can’t meet face to face. But I betcha they meet in combat when one ship or the other strays into the Neutral Zone. And that’s not intended as a spoiler. That’s pure, rank speculation. :)

The only time anything like that was mentioned was The Enterprise Incident where Romulans were using Klingon designed ships.

I’ve not kept up with any spoilers for this new movie, but there’s this mention of Romulans. If they are in this movie, they can’t meet Kirk as they’ve not seen a Romulan until Balance of Terror. That is since the last Romulan/Earth wars of 100 years before Kirk’s time.
