73. JimJ (transplanted Hawkeye in Huskerland) - January 27, 2008.

Yes, you remember now. Glad you are doing ok. She went back for surgery late August. She's fine now. Speaking of Hawks, she won us tickets to the Iowa v. Iowa State football game back in Sept. through HyVee. We got treated to a great tailgate, the game and then she competed on the field and won a years worth of groceries and gas from HyVee as part of the HyVee CyHawk Series. Too cool.

Twilight Zone is just great, must one day get all the dvd sets..

My Fave trek eps had that eerie Twilight Zone feel to them -

e.g. Where No Man, Charlie X, City on The Edge, and most of all - Spectre of the Gun (sets, music - all very Twilight Zone-esque)

The fact JJ is a big TZ fan bodes well - just like when he said at the comic con that the best trek was scary...

Obviously the TZ influnce can be seen in JJ's stuff like LOST and even MI 3 (Rabbits foot) and hopefully Star Trek too...

Outer Limits was good too but god those remakes of TZ and OL in the 80s and 90s wernt so great..The big TZ movie was abit of a mixed bag too

Smoked salmon and huckleberries from eastern Washington.

I hope that they show the flick at the local IMAX. Screen=huge-Sound=earth shaking. The pluses. The minuses would be: Price=steep-seats=torturous (and this is AFTER they had "more comfortable" seats installed). But for Trek one must make sacrifices of comfort and economics.
