Thanks for the heads up, Anthony.

I guess you can disregard the message I left at Feedback.

Peace. Live long and prosper.

Do we really need all this “improving”? Is this a reboot!? ;-)

4. Star Quack - January 31, 2008

I just feel compelled to express my gratitude for this site. I hope you are reaping some kind of rewards beyond the tangible. You’re doing a great job, Anthony.

5. Star Quack - January 31, 2008

Oops! I meant, “beyond the intangible”.

6. Sci-Fi Bri - January 31, 2008

this isn’t canon

7. Driver - January 31, 2008

But It’ll be same…but different.

8. Skippy 2k - January 31, 2008

Are you not a TrekMovie Purist? These “new features” weren’t on the original trekmovie!

9. Driver - January 31, 2008

Sometimes I have to wait 4 - 5 maybe 6 seconds for the page to load, so I hum the Star Trek theme to pass the time. It didn’t used to be that way.

10. Anthony Pascale - January 31, 2008

i have reimagined a reboot of the reinvention to reinvigorate it

11. Radioactive Spock - January 31, 2008

Congrats on needing to upgrade. Means your doing something right to bring so much traffic!

12. Commodore Redshirt - January 31, 2008

I hope the move goes well and thanks for all of your hard work!

13. OneBuckFilms - January 31, 2008

10 - All this while respecting the original ;-)

14. last o' the timelords - January 31, 2008

Love the site as is. Good articles and snappy comebacks. Don’t add so many features it becomes unwieldy. Keep it simple, please.

15. Absoroka - January 31, 2008

Why back to eBay, what happened to the Maxim babes?

16. Driver - January 31, 2008

The three R”s used to be Readin’, Ritin’ n’ ‘Rithmatic.

17. AJ - January 31, 2008

They better keep the old TOS yellow and blue theme. Non of the new slick black “Under Construction” stuff! No. Way. Spikes in the nacelles! :-)

18. Enterprisingguy - January 31, 2008

Anthony:

I know you mentioned this before when you were talking about updating but is there any plans to change the font and background? Several others asked if you could either use a bolder font or lose the gray background to make the site easier on the eyes? Other than that the site is perfect!

19. Pah Wraith - January 31, 2008

>> “to allow the addition of new features”

extremally promising!
Many thanks for the Site to you, Anthony!

Ping quick and faster! ;)

LOL! You mean the ugly chicks with huge gazongas that used to live in the upper right corner at this site?

Peace. Live long and prosper.

Absolutly, should have made Nimoy’s book.

22. Dr. Image - January 31, 2008

Yes! Keep it simple, Anthony! More fun that way!

23. GARY NEUMANN - January 31, 2008

Excelllent Work Anthony, you really care for the community!!! :-)

24. Vashta - January 31, 2008

As long as the “new” site is cannon…. ;)

25. Sloan47 - January 31, 2008

Have you thought about moving from WordPress to perhaps a custom application? I’ve noticed a lot of the popular web portal software packages have performance bottlenecks that make the increased traffic difficult to cope with.

26. Anthony Pascale - January 31, 2008

I have considered migrating from WP to a new CMS and it may come to that, however that hasn’t been the issue. I just need to be on a more powerful set up. The one I had was fine for a while. Many sites much bigger than this like perezhilton.com and many political sites use WP.

the 2.0 design (or maybe 1.5) for this site will be with WP and the new servers…I will see how that goes for a few months before looking into migrating to a new CMS…which would be a huuuuuuuuuuuge pain.

27. JamesinTucson - January 31, 2008

Just curious if there will be some new features for mobile readers. It’s tough to pull up this site on a mobile sometimes.

28. [The] TOS Purist - January 31, 2008

Sweet, I can’t wait to see the “remastered” site!! :D

29. Xai, using a braille browser - January 31, 2008

BLACK TYPE PLEASE! my old eyes need contrast

30. Scire - January 31, 2008

YES LARGER FONT AND MORE CONTRAST !!!

31. Lou - January 31, 2008

or different font and/or background.

Whatever, anthony. it’s your site. you don’t have to pay attention to the rest of us unless you REALLY REALLY REALLY want to. :P lol j/k do your thing. :D

32. Iowagirl - February 1, 2008

What? No trailer?

Anyway, Anthony, great work! You and your team are able to keep the franchise alive and attract a wider public - all without selling your own…daddy.

33. Go Spock! - February 1, 2008

just want to say - this site is amazing! :)

34. Anthony Pascale - February 1, 2008
