I guess, I'm just hoping Abrams etc. won't be too slavish to fan demands for continuity, especially visual continuity... and focus on making a great, great-looking star trek movie. it's like when everybody was going nuts over spidey having organic webshooters. the movies were great. not perfect. but pretty darned good.
