#60: OK, we're getting WAY off topic here, but to say Led Zeppelin isn't iconic? Umm... Whatever. Two good songs? Dude, that's your opinion. That's in no way a statement of fact. Someone else might say ALL of their songs are great, another person might say they have a couple dozen great songs, and another person might say he prefers Gregorian chants.

Anyhow, in their 11 years they were together they put out 10 albums, all of which made the top ten, several of them topped the charts, over 100 million albums sold, stadium tours around the world, and a legion of songs that remain staples of classic rock and album rock radio. A 3 DVD set of old concerts was released a few years ago and sold several million units. Long after they split up there have been numerous box sets, "best of" collections and live releases and they continue to sell.

Their recent reunion show got something like several million ticket requests for the 20,000 seats that were available, and if the rumors of a reunion tour come true you will see a demand like no concert tour has ever generated before (not to mention insane prices).

I'm not the biggest Zep fan in the world, but come on... "Stairway to Heaven," "Whole Lottle Love," "Kashmir," "Ramble On," "Good Times Bad Times," "Over the Hills and Far Away," "All My Love," "Fool In the Rain" and on and on... They were the blueprint for pretty much every hard rock band that came along after they did. They're in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and they deserve to be. "Legends," "Icons," whatever you want to call them, Zeppelin qualifies.

Especially since he's promoting "Full Body Project"! I would think that would be a particularly apt subject for Oprah, and I say that in all seriousness, given her issues with weight loss and all.

Peace. Live long and prosper.

It was great, watching William Shatner on Oprah! Now, I hope she brings in Leonard Nimoy. For that matter, why not bring in some of the cast members from the new movie?

If the new Terminator is anything like T3, Star Trek has nothing to worry about.

> Maybe by the time I have a few pennies to spend they’ll have come down
> even more in price from whatever they are now.

     Including shipping, it's $28.49 from Amazon.com
