the sequence starts as usual, the line “space, the final frontier” followed by the fanfare. but when the ship flies by at full impulse, it does so with a sort of manking maneuvre, swooping fom the left of the screen to the right before passing the camera right to left (kind of like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hm0keZJ4gis). the camera follows it as it passes instead of cutting to a shot of it moving away

it continues as normal, with it approaching and orbiting a planet. but when the line “the starship enterprise” is heard, a shot is shown facing the ship head on, so the lettering on the saucer is seen as the ship passes below the camera (there was a shot like this seen twice in “trials and tribble-ations”, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0seF5M-gIRc).

as it leaves the planet, the camera moves directy behind the ship as, on the line “where no man has gone before”, she begins to go to warp, with the camera following (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbdvEs_PqfA). when it reaches warp, there is the flash. from the flash emerges the title, “STAR TREK”, and roddenberry’s credit.

now, to the tune of goldsmith’s theme, not courage’s, the ship passes by the camera several times, leaving it’s coloured warp trails behind. but each time, as it passes the cmera, the camera pans to face the ship directly from the side. the ship then leaves the frame, revealing from behind it the main actor credits, which dissapear in a transporter-like flash. other titles appear for the rest of the regular cast.
