Dune is hard to do on film; this is a case where the film-makers should not be too faithful to the literature. But if they succeed, they have a bunch of books for source material. Even more, if you include the (Brian) Herbert / Anderson additions and prequels. They can even do it Star Wars style... Start at the middle, then tell historical backstory, then finish in the further future. I wish them luck; I'd like to see all that...

#90 Fantastic 4 was crap on a monumental scale and that includes both films. Its obvious that the writer and director of both films had no clue as to how tell a good story. They made this franchise into a laughing stock.

I hope that Fox DON'T do a third 'Fantastic Four', unless they junk director Tim Story, along with some of his 'creative choices' and casting, and REBOOT it with someone else.

This was one of my most loved superhero properties as a brat, and it was turned into two major cinematic disasters...

Damn, Legion got canceled. I think that was the last DC cartoon out there since The Batman ended.

I guess I'll have to go back to watching old episodes of Batman TAS...

yeah series 3 got limited release in the states. new voice actors, poor translations didnt help either. you're lucky to have seen anything of it. i still havent.

and dont look to japan for anything new. in order to understand how thats going it depends on the "law suit of the month".

Last I heard I think Disney may have been the ones to own the rights to Starblazers but that was about 10 years ago i think, Who ones the rights now is anyones guess. A freind of mine told me that the series that we got backin the 70s was only 2 of the Star blazer series. there was a third one which dealt with the Bolar wars I have only seen bits and pieces of that part of the Star Blazers saga.

-The mistake with the Bionic Woman remake was the casting. Katee Sackhoff should have been cast as the bionic woman! Sackhoff could have been a USAF fighter pilot who was shot down in Iraq and almost died-

although i would agre. I see alot of people complaing that the part of her crasing to closely resembles steve austin. and brings them to remark on a gender change ala BSG and starbuck.

I'm really still awestruck by the Space:1999 episode "Black Sun", which is one of the most compelling hours of Sci-Fi ever made; the mystical encounter with God is a profound experience. The intervention of the Supreme Being explains for me how the moon traveled all over the place in the first season of the show.
To those who deride the program, let's remember that Fred Freiberger, the man who presided over the last season of TOS, also presided over the second season of Space:1999.
That said, I doubt that I will see a remake of Space:1999. The mistake with the Bionic Woman remake was the casting. Katee Sackhoff should have been cast as the bionic woman! Sackhoff could have been a USAF fighter pilot who was shot down in Iraq and almost died. Bionics could have given her the edge to return to life and fight the good fight against terrorists, criminals, etc.
