Our stuff was more inspired by “Thomas the Tank Engine” than Robot Chicken. That and we drink heavily.

Daniel, great job! I like the quality of the shuttle, even if i dont actually like the design. It looks real, as does the saucer. The nacelle falling was hilarious! Definitely not very trekkish, but well done just the same. :D

By the way, your ‘Trek Movie’ shuttle work is tremendous, but I personally don’t like the actual design of it by the production designers… If this is the ONLY ’shuttle’ design on show in the Movie, I will be disappointed, as I still far rather the simplified, and very different, original TOS ’shuttles’…

Just a thought Anthony, but shouldn’t Stanky at least get an honourable mention for his ‘Fake Star Trek’ efforts too?… :)

54, My vote would go to your nacelle crash shot too – it tells a story for the viewer to write, and with a great sense of Trek humour!

I actually went to io9.com to see the other entries, and when I saw Daniel’s, the first thoughts that entered my mind were,

“yeah… that rocks… oh well!”

Daniel, that really was incredible. Congrats! Keep up this stuff up! If it wouldn’t have been in the “Create a fake” contest, I would have believed it!

ps* If you finish the whole Enterprise… would you post pictures?

Poroto your #7 is as genius as the best Pixar shorts. So much is packed into those few seconds: figuring out at the last second what’s going on, the almost slapstick physics, the light going out and the grass catching fire. Fantastic work.
