Star Trek 2009 was mindblowingly good. Surprisingly good. I mean, it got 90+% on Rotten Tomatoes, and that's saying something!

• Star Trek Beta

• Star Trek Neo

Can't think of anything else. When the three disc Blu-Ray thing gets released, I'm getting the puppy.

The film is out - great work from the CGIs and effects guyes, and a good bit of casting. The sequel to the prequel - how about Uhura on maternity leave, Kirk actually settling down with one woman, a fair amount of Pon Farr, the problems of where to go and who with, Drs Flox and McCoy would have their hands full there I think. How to build up numbers of an endangered species, aliens with selective reproductive abilities spring to mind - Spock could produce 2 kiddies one pure Vulcan one pure Human - the franchise goes on. Can they battle the killer flying pancakes again [Anihalation Project] please. You could have hours of fun with Chekov - after all at 17 he's got a lot to learn about life.

I have seen Star Trek XI (or 9) ten times now. It is a thorough adrenaline rush. I can't wait for the sequel. Two comments: Please make sure Kirk's hair is blonde (the scenes where it appears red were very distracting). And do not have any famous guest stars. They will detract from the new crew who rightly should be the focus. They are young, gorgeous, and energetic. All they need is an equally exciting script as the 2009 movie. And although I adore Shatner's portrayal of Kirk, he is such a scene stealer that it would be a disservice to the story, and Chris Pine who is a perfectly wonderful Kirk in his own right, if he were in it. Shatner created Kirk but its time to move on. Its a different century and a different time line. It's not ageism, I am 65 years young.

Keep the numbering system, but employ good old standard Arabic numbers. Star Trek 2, Star Trek 3, etc. That way, when we get to number 38 it's Star Trek 38, not Star Trek XXXVIII. It's Star Trek, not the Super Bowl or the Olympics!!

It is logical to assume that there may be a link between the space craft "Voyager 6" as enhanced and returned by the "Machine Planet" (Star Trek the Motion Picture) and the creation of the Borg and its philosophy. Vyger was looking for the creator and it eventually joined machine with man or a cyborg (Captain Dekker and the Leutinent Ilea changeling) this may be something to base a new motion picture on with the person "Q" still putting humanity on trial. Perhaps Vyger could be thought of as the founder of Borg society itself and may be the key to settling the conflicts between "free will" and 'forced servitude". Time travel may serve to alter the damage done by the borg by changing the Borg philosopy of assimilation of multitudes of lifeforms as a step in getting closer to perfection. Changing the timeline in this manner would be carefully considered by those who inforce the "temporal Prime Directive"
This is just a suggestion for a future movie. Someone would have to study the structures of past movie scripts and dialogues to eliminate conflicts in the entire "star trek saga itself"
