Even for a planetoid, Memory Alpha still has to be hundreds of miles across, and hunderds of stories in height.

I saw the episode yesterday, and overall it was gorgeous. The Big E was beyond beautiful, and the lights very effective. The only thing that really didn't look right in context was the planet. I mean, it was well-done, but it looked a bit too TNG-era to fit in.

Scotty never could pick em. Between Carolyn Palamas and Mira Romaine, he seemed to choose women that would never work out with him

I don't understand how Scotty could fall for such a be-yotch that Mira turned out to be! No wonder someone mentioned that they were surprised if Scotty even noticed if she had any brains!

I think they should have digitally removed that cold sore! But then again, that would have been tampering with canon...

Well, cold sore or not, I thought Mira was HOT!!! :-)

Here in Oregon, I viewed this episode tonight. (06/07/06) For what it's worth, here are my thoughts on this episode... Like others have commented, some original effects of this episode really creeped me out as a kid, particularly the belching/dying woman on Memory Alpha.

I felt the remastered effects were overall pretty good. The enhanced 'Zetar lights' were very effective but how come the 'Zetar Lights cloud' never changed it's outside border shape? It stayed the same, with a pointy part on the upper left fringe. Was that intentional, or for some other reason? I recall the original 'Zetar Lights Cloud' appeared like an ever-shifting blob. I'm puzzled as to how the remastering team could overlook such an obvious discrepancy.

Lastly, perhaps Scotty was better off without the lovely Lieutenant further distracting him from his "bairns." In several scenes, "Mira" noticeably had what appeared to be a huge cold sore on her lower lip. Over the years, I never noticed that before. Hopefully Scotty did.

So this links work. cool.

I refer to Eden's work on Enterprise as a whole, those shots, and in A Mirror Darkly especially.

All around I think their work is superior. We don't even know the extent as to how Eden can perform but I would bet they can animate circles around CBS.

#116: Not bad, although given your comments in the past, I was expecting nothing short of a miracle.

Yeah Izbot I know. But what can we do huh? This remaster has been such a bumpy ride I am almost motion sick. If you can click the link in my name "Sean4000" I think you'll be pleasantly surprised ;)
