My husband and I watched this and really liked it for the medium that was used. It was nice to see so many of the old stars, especially at the end the actress that played T'Pring,,,,just so cool! We want MORE!!!

and oh yes...I WAS a Soap Opera fan at one time, LIve with it!!

Thanks for talking sense, Loop. OGAM was trash. Absolute trash. It is offensive to see so many stars of trek in this turd.

New Voyages/Phase II, on the other hand, is gold. "World Enough and Time" Stands right up there with "The Visitor" as one of the most heartfelt and moving episodes of Trek in existance.

Sure, New Voyages started out rough, but ramped up to a superb level of quality in no time.

It's a pity New Voyages couldn't have lent some talent to OGAM along with their sets. I'd be ashamed to be involved with this garbage.

These fan shows... that they are seemingly so accepted by fans kind of makes me re-evaluate a lot of the perceptions I had of this franchise.
These shows are just terrible. What on earth is wrong with the fans that they don't wince and grimace in sheer horror at the amateurishly embarrassing level of concept and production. I really wish Paramount would crack down based on intellectual property laws. Massive cheapening of the concept hurts the future of the franchise. My god.. if this is so acceptable, then soon Pmount might start a 'real' production every bit as stupid.(well.."Enterprise"?)
Here I guess we are seeing the dark side of the internet... fanboy horrors gain an audience...Next thing you know the government will start using 2012 myths and other bizarre perceptions as a means of control, since people are revealing that they are so willing to accept such blatantly stupid levels of
media... maybe I'm the naive one for thinking people were smarter than this. Then again, I did know that when Gilligan's Island was in it's original run that California military bases used to get phone calls from people asking 'why don't they rescue those poor people?' I suppose their children are the fans of these fan produced shows.

I loved this film though admittedly it was old school Trek in style and direction with a little bit of modern style thrown in. Imagine what it would have been like done Battlestar Galactica style, but it might not have worked.

I wrote a web sitcom starring Samantha Lockwood, Gary's daughter. Rest assured, I will ask him why he didn't reprise his role, but on the other hand, looking at pictures of him, he doesn't look like his old self anymore. (No offense intended).

And I read that Robert Walker, Jr. had to undergo surgery. Still the recasting works and the actors bear a passing resemblance.

BTW, Walker's father was awesome in "Strangers on a Train."

I'm actually proud to say that its fun to read up on spoilers. I checked this out before I had an opportunity to download and watch Act III.

Uhura singing "Charlie is my darling." I was looking forward to this moment after reading about it. It didn't disappoint, here's why. I don't know if anyone picked this up: Although they're in completely different keys, there is a subtle yet noteworthy difference.

Forgive me music experts if I get this wrong because I'm a little rusty with my terminology. "Charlie's Our New Darling" is in a minor key, and "Charlie Is My Darling" is in a major key. Right? Either way this difference added greatly to the moment.

Beautiful!

William Wellman was excellent as Charlie Evans. Nailed Robert Walker, Jr. dead on. But, the actor playing Mitchell had the look, but--unlike Wellnan--did not have the vocal quality to evoke Gary Lockwood as Mitchell. "Didn't I say, you'd better be good to me?"

I think the upcoming Star Movie is stealing the basic plot. Someone goes back in time to kill Kirk's momma. At least these guys did the E right...
