This looks to be an interesting read, I wouldn’t mind someday seeing it all. Hopefully, this is the start of a successful series, in which we can see many “what ifs” through the history of Star Trek.

The uniform that ‘angry Bashir’ is wearing looks like Colonel Green’s from Savage Curtain so maybe thats who it is…

I thought Vulcans aged more slowly… she looks like a human that lived to that age. But the image is like the old aging makeup used on “The Deadly Years” rather than real aging effects. Not realistic at all.

It’s too bad the reviewer wasn’t fully satisfied with the story, although to my mind, one of the things alternate-history tales often highlight is the way in which things haven’t changed.

From that perspective, it makes sense that a story like this would show parallel versions of TOS events (along with showing The Animated Series some love, it seems)…the same way the Mirror Universe, for all its differences, still had many events which lined up with those in “our” universe.

I saw E2, but she positively looks like the cryptkeeper on the book’s cover! If the excerpt hadn’t been about T’Pol, I never would have guessed. Is the person at the top right supposed to be an angry Bashir?
