Well, that’s me: I haven’t read the Trek BBS thread. I’m trying to stay away from any and all spoilers for the new movie, so my Trek websurfing is down a lot. (I usually only look at the ‘Trek Movie TOS-Remastered’ page – thanks for having a link that specific, Anthony.)

And, while I respect the amount of time, energy, and talent that went into this video, it seemed a little long. I’d rather see 45 seconds of animation than 5 minutes with some animations but mostly stills with text.
Kudos for the idea – yes, the top of the Big E does look like a sombrero, I’ll admit – and kudos for the music selections, and scene selections.

(* If you don’t like hearing criticisms, you can stop reading here.*) If I may humbly suggest for next time: just using the ‘Star Trek’ movie font doesn’t reproduce the graphic look of the film titles. You have to adjust the parsing, as there’s too much of a space between the “S T A”.
But hey, cool work!

Give all those creepy kids Sombreros!

Hey! I just read that creepy kid article. They did not mention Charlie X. Does he qualify? Is he too old? He was 17, right? Definitely a minor, acted like a spoiled brat. Definitely creepy.

(BTW, If any of those kids through eggs then it would definetely be creapey)

Not exactly a “creepy kids” moment but it would have been unique: Kirk makes a child-size Starfleet uniform for his nephew and lets him sit in his chair. Maybe the scene stuck in Roddenberry’s head until Wesley Crusher came out of the typewriter one day.
