I’m an italian Opera singer and I like very much Mr. Picardo – I apologize for my english but I have to say Mr. Picardo is one of the best American Actor in the last years – his way to face the Role of the Doctor in Star Trek is GREAT !!! I’m never tyred to wacht his episodes and there is one I love more then others : Some one to wacht over me …..absolutely overwhelming !!! congratulation Mr Picardo and ….please ….give to us more opportunities to wacht you on TV and on Moovies !!!

#27. Lord Garth, Formerly of Izar… I had the same problem with SG-1. I had seen the original movie, but I was having a hard time picturing Macgyver in this new series. (Not to mention I couldn’t get sci-fi channel at the time) So I choose to not get involved at that point.

It wasn’t unti SG:Atlantis came along that I finally decided to give it a chance. I figured that after so many seasons of SG-1 and then a spinoff series was coming that there most be something good going on there, so I figured that the new series would be a good place for me to finally jump in.

Wow, was I glad that I did! It took a little to grasp all of the concepts, but after giving it a bit of a chance, it wasn’t long until I was fully hooked! I could also finally after that point be able to get into the SG-! show, and became fully engaged in that, as well! While that show soon went of the air, I am fortunate that I have many seasons of reruns to catch up on now!

But SG:Atlantis is one not to be missed! So I would say that right now would be a good point to jump in, since we will now be seeing a new character (Picardo, who is such a wonderful actor!) becoming established!

I am certainly going to be missing Amanda Tapping as Carter and Torri Higginson as Dr. Weir, but I think the show has enough other talented actors to keep the show interesting, and now Robert Picardo will be just that much more icing on the cake! Can’t wait!

Loved him as the Doc. The character did grow on me after a while even though I couldn’t stand him at first. But his evolution as he strove to exceed his original programming was so fascinating and he made such big leaps that I couldn’t help but to eventually like him.

Woolsey, on the other hand… I still haven’t been able to find anything likable about him and I have a feeling he’s going to stick out like a sore thumb on Atlantis, at least throughout this season. Here’s to hoping he will “evolve” and eventually win the fans over… :)

The Doc was always one of my favorite Voyager charicters.

I also liked that 7 Days ep when Picardo played the Anti-Christ. It must’ve been the hair he had that made him all evil.

#48: I expect that whether Atlantis gets the “BSG Treatment” would hinge largely on whether or not Season Five is awful or not. On that note, I find it ironic that anyone would accuse Star Trek: Voyager of being “retread garbage” after watching every single agonizing hour of Stargate: Atlantis’s fourth season.

The moment I heard about this, I knew how right it was. Richard Woolsey is exactly the element of inter-team dramatic tension that Atlantis needs right now (and has needed ever since the demi-death of Weir), and Robert Picardo is exactly the person who should be playing him. I was dreading the season premiere of this show that I really have a fondness for, and now I can’t wait.

As a final word: the D/7 shippers will never die! REPRESENT!

(Ditto to J/C’ers. Curse you, C/7. Curse you forever.)

Also, great interview, Tony. Where’d you learn to interview people so consistently and so thoroughly well? Or did you just pick up the skill as you went along?
