look don’t listen to these freaks i believe sg1 was great weather they cancelled or not they had a good 10 year run and I’m glad they cancelled because they can move on to other new things like new character roles in upcoming new movies.

The same goes for SGA even though they cut 5 years to short people don’t understand that money pays the bills as well as running seasonal movies it cost big bucks if you don’t have the money or the resources to create a movie then my friends you will have to cancel you don’t want to but you have to and thats what people don’t understand but because they did they too can also move on for other new character roles in new upcoming movies so give them all a break from your stupid blog comments yes that includes you KING POOKEY leave the Stargate crew alone they don’t have to listen to the crap that comes out of your mouth or anybody’s mouths for that matter if you don’t have anything better to do then why don’t all of you people that have problems with the SG crew go jump of a bridge and commit suicide ok geeze the things that these SG crews do for you and you treat them like this why don’t you all grow up and grow a cock on your heads and look at each other and call yourselves

Agreed. Sci-Fi Channel has slowly decomposed over the years to the point that they’re barely sci-fi anymore. Wrestling?! Just close up shop already if they’re that desparate.

As stated by several other posts, Sci Fi Channel always dumps their best shows and never runs quality movies (hell, Spike had to run StarWars). Sci Fi Channel better stick to Science Fiction and improve the crap they already have or it would be better for them to just die!!!

ALAS ONCE AGAIN A SERIES THAT HAS SUCH POTENTIAL GOES DOWN THE DRAIN… IF YOU LOOK AT SOME OF THE BEST OF THE STORY LINES THEY HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY THE SAME ONE OR TWO PEOPLE….WHY DID THEY NOT LET THEM RUN WITH THE STORY LINE. THE ACTORS DESERVE TO HAVE THE CHANCE TO EXPLORE & EXPAND THEIR CHARCTERS . I.E. THE SHRINE.
THE FANS STAYED WITH THIS SERIES WITH IT’S UPS AND DOWNS AND DESERVE TO HAVE A CLASSY ENDING…NOT SOME PUSH TO SELL DVD MOVIES. THAT WOULD COME NATURALLY IF HANDELED RIGHT.
MY QUESTION IS IF THEY CAN’T FOOT THE EXPENSE FOR A SIXTH SEASON TO CLOSE OF SGA WITH A WONDERFUL ENDING TYING UP STORIES AND CHARACTERS AND PERHAPS A TEASER FOR THE DVD’S HOW IS IT THAT THEY CAN SO EASILY HAVE THE MONEY FOR NEW SETS, NEW COSTUMES, NEW CONTRACTS FOR ACTORS AND CREW FOR STARGATE UNIVERSE?.

Dammit skiffy!

You know, I really wish I could be a fly on the wall at some of these TPTB meetings to see and hear what really goes on behind these weird decisions that they make all the time!

Why cancel a great show like Atlantis? They already have the sets built, so the only real overhead costs that they have are stars salaries and post-production costs. So what gives?

Yeah, I know what they are thinking… They see how well these “reality” shows are doing, and they know how cheap that they are to make. So why bother making a quality show like Atlantis when they can churn out a whole bunch of crap like Ghost Hunters and wrestling for a fraction of the cost!

I knew that Atlantis was in for some rocky times ahead with all of the changes of the commanding officer on the show. While I think they did well while they had Amanda Tapping on there, I knew it was going to be a tough sell having Robert Picardo taking over with his Richard Woolsey character. I think given enough time, they could have pulled it off, and I think that they were well on their way to that goal, but network execs can be a finicky bunch.

However, I will agree with some of the posts above, and count our blessings that at least we will be getting some direct-to-dvd’s out of the deal, which is much better than the raw deal that they gave Enterprise! Sometimes we just have to take whatever measley crumbs that they give us. *sigh*

Dude, I’m f***ing tired off some a**holes canceling my shows, I’m getting board as hell! What do they want me to do?! Read books?! There’s only one book series I could read: Honor Harrington, but what then, when I’m finished reading it?! Hm?! What They gonna cancel that too?! F*** I’m P’oed!

You know what… there is a scifi show I read about a while a go, it ain’t getting alot of press, it’s called: REVOLUTION. It’s kinda interesting. I think it’s a tad better than the show’s I’m supposed like: Caprica, Virtuality – hm, both by Ron Moore- and those other shows… I think we should bring attention to this show and make sure it doesn’t fail as well!!!

Sorry to see SGA go, Stargate is one of those fun shows/franchises that get you hooked and wanting more. I wish Paramount would have gone this route w/ Enterprise, hell a two hour series finale would have been nice.
