Dom 51 & 35, you’re a chump. You’ve swallowed the blurb hook, line and sinker…..heck, even quoting us the industry invented line of Blu-Ray outselling DVD in four years. It’s bullshit, mate.

I have Blu-Ray and a high-end 1080p Panasonic plasma……and the only films I pick up for it are from the bargain bin. I am never going to replace my entire collection with it. Upscaled DVD looks fantastic…..admittedly not as good as BluRay, but the point is that going from watching Blu-Ray to upscaled DVD doesn’t make me rub my eyes…..like going from DVD to VHS does. Meaning while the leap in quality is great, it isn’t massive – and certainly not worth the price difference. That, my spend-worthy chum, is why the format is struggling. So quit moaning about them looking after the MAJORITY. You know Blu-Ray TOS is coming, so wait for it. You’re in a minority…deal with it.

CBS! Hurry up with Blu Ray! Good grief, the whole point of the project was to prepare the show for high definition, the HD DVDs for Season 1 looked fantastic, and now we wait endlessly for you to get your act together and release high-def versions of Seasons 2 and 3 and release Season 1 in the winning format.

Blu Ray players are finally coming down to affordable levels this holiday season and Trek won’t be there. How pathetic.

No thank you on this set. I’ve seen youtube FX that look more convincing than this. I don’t know how this work slipped past quality control.

Many Wholesale clubs will have the set at a much lower price. I suspect about $130 or so… However, I still think that is too much.

Unlike the previous two season sets, this one is going to be a difficult purchase for me. I thought the third season was full of duds, with a few gems sprinkled throughout. If I were to get this, it would be for the remastered “Cage” pilot, “The Tholian Web”, “The Enterprise Incident”, and of course, the conclusion of Billy Blackburn’s Treasure Chest.

Check titantv.com. For one of my two nearby Star Trek stations, it shows “All Our Yesterdays” on 9/13 and “Arena” on 9/20. For the other stations, it doesn’t show the titles, so YMMV.
