Someone once said, why remake classic movies when you could remake mediocre ones and improve on them? It wouldn’t be hard to improve on “Conquest of the Planet of the Apes”. Bring it on!

No way should Beyonce or whatever her name is play wonder woman. Linda Carter is over 6′ tall….Beyonce, 5′ nothin’. Besides she can’t even act in her videos very well and she’ll drag that franchise down…..

26 – I agree that the first “Apes” movie should be regarded as a stand-alone classic, because it is so when viewed from that perspective.

The sequels became progressively cheesier, but I think the filmmakers did try to stick to the premise of the original in the events between “Conquest” and “Battle” that the human race was dethroned by nuclear annihilation — thus the charred remains of the former city of “Conquest,” the radiation levels detected with Geiger counters, and the cheesy human mutants.
