If that's true that Meagan Fox is a Trekker, then that would -- in my opinion -- make her the ultimate goddess!!!

No shiet Sherlock.

This film is gonna be SO big. As a dyed in the wool (grew up on TOS in the early 70s) fan... I'm well aware LOTS of people love Trek (even where I live, an island off Canada!). They still make the things, after all.

Logic. ;p

re/post 1

Went through the same thing, ages ago, with the RMS TITANIC. I was a "casual scholar" of the ship, its building, its loss, and its finding. (Mind you, I was studying it long before it was found. And as a kid I was captivated by "Raise the TITANIC".)

I had blueprints, copies of the cargo manifest, read "Her Name, Titanic" about six times (best Titanic book available, at least up to then; really put the human element on display). I used it in class to convey the meaning -- that is, the human element beyond the facts and figures -- in history (long story that I won't rehash here).

And then the movie came out.

Suddenly it was everywhere, everyone was going on and on about it. I didn't understand the need for these fictional characters -- after all, there was already so much humanity on the ship, why create characters out of thin air? But the preview got my attention.

It's one of those "I was Trekkin' before Trekkin' was cool" moments.

Funny how they didn't show the rear of the new MKS cause it's so ugly. Nice commercial though, I loved the Hummer's one which was here yesterday but I've removed it.
