Yeah I have to agree. When you see how accurate nearly every OTHER movie figure out there is now (and even what good likenesses they manage to achieve on the tiny SW figures), there’s no reason we shouldn’t expect better of our Star Trek figures.

(Although, compared to the crappy Indy figures that came out earlier, the Trek figures look like works of art! lol)

That era is long gone. Action figures are priced very high, and people expect excellent likenesses in return for the high prices.

I have the Amok Time figures. I got them almost two weeks ago. They are pretty cool and accurate. Can’t wait for the borg figures. Iwould like to see DST make ships like the DS9 Defiant, Borg Cube from First Contact, and the Reliant from TWOK. I still have the TNG Romulan Warbird and Klingon attack cruiser as well as the Deep Space Nine space station from Playmates.

I’m with AJ. Although if you made perfect recreations of the sets for the action figures I wouldn’t mind the likenesses being “off”.

And Rasataman:

Don’t let a little thing like what other people think determine what you do with your own money. As long as it’s legal and nobody suffers from it, I say enjoy. Life is way too short to get caught up in what other people think anyway. EVERYBODY has their own little passion, and when they try to belittle me for mine it’s pretty easy for me to turn it around on them by pointing out how elitist, boorish, and snobby their attitude is. Can’t put up a valid argument about the prices, though. I can say that Art Asylum has sent me a free Khan action figure just for being a good customer, so that’s like a bonus. My only other answer is to just limit your purchases. And that I remember buying bread for a quarter. Inflation sucks.
