Why I need the Star Trek Messenger Bag…
It would be a cool way for me to bring all my Star Trek swag home after various shopping excusrions prior to the new movie opening.
Why I Need the Bag – I need the bag for a very simple reason. I need it so that I can disguise the fake documents I require. My belief is that customs agents would not overly inspect a bag of such nerdish nature. That would allow me to obtain an illegal US Residency, so that I would be able to actually participate in this contest.

To be honest, i really don’t need the bag. If i was to win it I would give it to my wife, who is a bigger star trek fan than me (which is hard to believe). I would also fill it with Star Trek: The Next Generation (seasons 1-7) DVD box sets. TNG is her favorite.
I would use this to carry the items I would obtain from Comic-Con, as well as merchandize related to the new movie (Uniform, Phaser, Communicator, Tricorder and Soundtrack).
In addition, as the Captain of the USS Churchill, the Orange County chapter of the International Federation of Trekkers, I would use this to carry any and all items necessary for Churchuill Away Missions.
It will also show once and for all that Star Trek, and Optimism, is always “cool”, and subliminally express what Star Trek means to me.

Having recently journeyed far beyond my native abode to a new domicile, I was somewhat taken aback to discern a substantial lack of mobile storage capacity. This situation persists. Logic dictates, in this particular instance, that the needs of the one–this wayfaring educator–outweighs the needs of the many others reading this site who may not find this object a necessity. I shall hope to receive the item somewhat promptly by interstellar post, but as I statistically expect a rather long life, I shall be tolerantly patient.

I’m another long-time fan, who grew up with the original series, sitting on my dad’s lap watching some of the earliest syndicated reruns, excitedly pointing somewhere backwards over my left shoulder, exclaiming “SPEEESSHHH!!!” as the Enterprise flew across the screen during Kirk’s “Space…the final frontier…” opening narration. Got my one and only autograph from Nichelle Nichols at one of the few conventions in 1980’s Anchorage, Alaska. Learned the Greek alphabet because it was presented as an ‘alien alphabet’ in an early Technical Manual…and many other geeky exploits. Hopefully that’s enough!
