<I>"And Adama is the leader who is dying. Not Rosilyn"</i>

....Moore was apparently *very* quick about this one. The pills Adama are popping are muscle relaxers - Somas - that got prescribed off-camera because he hasn't been sleeping well since the frack hit the fan over what they found on Earth. He swears Adama is *not* dying, and that Roslyn is still the "dying leader".

Then again, we all know it's Boxey, and the Cylon God is Muffit....

..."Old"? That show hasn't been off the air long enough to be considered "old", kid.

...Layman's summation of Starbuck & Gaeta's exchange:

Gaeta: "You almost got me killed twice, your husband is a Cylon and he blew my leg off, and you came back from the dead without an explanation."

Starbuck: "So what? At least I'm not a gimp! Nyah, nyah!"

I suddenly remembered that Starship Trooper/ BSG rip off called "Space Above and Beyond" which was a way cooler show than the current "Space Above and Beyond" rip off called Ron Moore's BSG.

What a bleak show. Good, though. Just terribly, terribly bleak. Not anticipating a happy ending for this one.

53. Jake Callahan -
"He was consistantly dismissive toward the fans of Galactica, insisting that he knew better and they were just whining morons who didn’t understand his true grasp of what Sci-Fi is."

Can you blame him? The original series was goofy nonsense. The original pilot/mini-series showed some promise but that promise went up in smoke by the first regular episode. Virtually unwatchable.

I would probably watch that show, and enjoy it more than Voyager.

RE:Message 45

With all due respect, RM has held that view since before the show even began shooting.

Let's not forget his disparaging views and statements about not only the original Galactica Mythos, but about the already established fanbase. Before anyone tries to defend RM on this, just view how you would feel if he had done his "re-imagining" on the TOS.

He was consistantly dismissive toward the fans of Galactica, insisting that he knew better and they were just whining morons who didn't understand his true grasp of what Sci-Fi is.

Quite honestly, I'm glad Ron Moore is no longer attached to Trek, in any way, shape or form. A Female, Angst driven Spock, desperatly trying to bed down angst driven, drug addicted Kirk, while Dr/Mrs McCoy and the Klingon Spies Miss Chekov and Sulu look on would have really sucked. Add to that the jiggling camera and jump pans, and Trek would truly be dead, and we'd be in the same boat the fans of the Original Galactica are now.

Funny, I don't think they'd be feeling any sympathy for our protests, but alas, as RM would probably say "If you want Popcorn and cheese, go someplace else".

I shall reframe the same argument that people here do about the new movie:

You haven't seen the end, so how can you weigh the significance or insignificance of what you have seen thusfar?

I also have a strange feeling that we haven't seen the last of Dualla. Certainly if TOS were made today it could be similar in tone and execution to BSG. But it wasn't so we do have something of an apples to oranges comparison. That being said I would use the analogy that I prefer driving a new Corvette to a '57 Chevy. But the appeal of the '57 Chevy is undeniable.
