58 – Buzz: I hope you’ll get to see more of Colbert in the UK someday. He has a very dry delivery that I believe would appeal to many Brits, based on what I now of your humor from the three times I lived over there (love it over there, by the way).

I’ve always been a big fan of British comedy myself: Goons, Pythons, Bonzos, Milligan … love them all.

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), I don’t have “telly” right now, so I am not up to date on “The Daily Show” or “The Colbert Report.” Colbert started (or at least gained fame) as a “reporter” on “Daily,” in case you didn’t know. I think that you can at least see some of his interviews on his website. Enjoy!

^ I think Ross’s “Trekkieness” was played up a bit – certainly for the 35th Anniversary.

I’m not saying he doesn’t like show but I don’t think he’s a trekkie per se. He is a film and tv buff.

#51 Brett, I have seen the Colbert show once I believe but it was on some channel or other very late at night so not one that I would normally catch. I did see him doing the Election Special with Stewart and he certainly seems to be a funny guy.
Jon’s Daily Show is on a channel called More4 here in the UK and it airs just a day behind your showing so its all up to date stuff.
And American politics is SO much more interesting than British!

What other 78-year old could sit there with Jonathan Ross for twenty minutes, and outwit him the entire time? There aren’t many who can keep up with Ross, he almost always takes the piss out of anyone who is sitting across from him — but Shatner proves yet again that he is still so witty, on the ball, uniquely talented, and special.
