I was searching for the seven Caprica Preview Clips that had been released and I came across this. It is a very detailed Caprica review by someone that has seen the pilot. Link in my name above

Wow! What a brilliant hour of TV that was!

Baltar is wonderful! Remember that when he asked Laura not to let him die, he had just revealed to her that the destruction of the colonies was his fault! If anything, he is desperate for redemption! If the prophecy involving him, Six and Hera walking through the doorway in the opera house is to be believed, then he makes up for allowing the human race to get wiped out by personally overseeing its rebirth!

Gaeta and Zarek thoroughly deserved to die. Zarek was always corrupt and was shown to be running the fleet's black market in the episode of the same name. That Baltar's yearlong presidency was corrupt was in part due to the scumbags Zarek surrounded himself with.

There were times when I felt more sympathy for Baltar and Zarek during the presidential campaign, but ultimately, both of them were almost childlike: Gaeta constantly sided with the wrong guy, no matter how much he believed he was doing good. And Zarek, for all his machinations was a kid who thought that if he yelled enough and blew up enough people, he could get his way.

It's been a long journey and I'm thrilled to have seen the revamped Galactica become one of the best science fiction shows ever made.

And as for the people who are moaning that the show isn't positive enough, remember the saying that the night is always darkest before the dawn!

The Caprica hatred is just plain dumb. It's not even really a prequel. A 'prequel' implies that its a direct lead-in to BSG - sequel set earlier in the timeline. It's not: it's a completely different show that's set in the same universe and has some recognisable icons: the Adamas, the early Cylons and so on. I don't think the fact that we know Caprica will be wiped out will be deleterious to the show: if anything it makes things more poignant.

After the wonders of BSG, I'm more than happy to let the team take me back into the past!

The only complaint I have right now is that we haven't seen anything of the rest of the Cylon fleet, Head-Six or Head-Baltar for ages. What are they up to?

No, Baltar will be the real hero of the show. In the finale he will return from the future in a Raptor with some fancy new hullplating and destroy the evil Cylon Queen. But then the camera pulls back and reveals that this was all just a holodeck documentary watched by Lorne Greene and John Colicos…

Next week Master Chief Tyrol and Baseship Eight/Sharron get back together

Sisko is dead because they HAVENT made a DS9 movie.

Your argument is the same as insisting the original McCoy, Scotty, and Sarek & Amanda could possibly reprise their original roles.

In theory, McCoy, Scotty, and Sarek (to a limited degree) could all star in the latest TNG movie, which again, will not be made.

Avery Brooks has moved on, as have the entire cast of DS9, Voyager, TNG, and Enterprise.

In the latest interview, Frakes says he's available, I know. But one actor a film does not make.

Think about this very carefully: What if Khan in the last act of Wrath, knowing that Reliant is dead in the water, seeing his adopted son dying, suddenly decided to stop hating Kirk, surrender, and everyone all sang "Yeah, Brother" and smoked weed and had a picnic.

Khan had to detonate Genesis. Khan only existed to hate Kirk. Spock had to sacrifice his life to save everyone else. Kirk had to destroy the Enterprise, and go back in time to save whales.

Baltar MUST be weak. You love him because you want him to change and become heroic.

Heroes are defined by the challenges they overcome. That's why everyone lauds this episode even though they all knew Adama MUST retake the ship, just as Kirk retakes the Enterprise from Kang/Dr Severin/ the Spores/ Commodore Decker/ etc.

Baltar for the sake of the Drama of the Show, must be a weasel.

There was no reason for Baltar to give Pegasus 6 the nuke that she used to destroy the pleasure cruiser, except his own pettiness. He really is that simple.

Somehow, someway, he will either manipulate someone or betray someone in the next 9 episodes. Even if it's just to get a ham sandwich.

Defrakking . . .

Every week at the end of the ep I find myself saying: What the frak are they going to do next. And they always surprise me. That's great writing.

I just managed to finally watch "The Oath" and “Blood on the Scales”,
the first one one YouTube on the iPhone. But that doesn't matter, because even on a small screen and cut to 10 minute pieces with movement breaking up into huge pixel blocks these were two of the finest hours of TV I ever watched in my life.
