Some of the remakes made on this list about Tyler Perry reminds me of the Scene from Selena when she went to buy her dress for the Grammy and the dress store people looked at her like she didn’t belong ..because they did not know how big she was.

Norman Lear did other shows before he hit it big with All in the Family.
Gene did stuff before he did Start Trek.

There is so much in the world outside of your culture.

Which is the one of the truths of Star Trek.

I just read a powerful article about Tyler Perry at http://www.ebmpublishing.com. The article was wonderfully written and showed a different side of him. It discussed in detail his approach to life and commitment to improving the community. It’s an engaging, thought provoking article that gave me a new found level of respect for him.

Quite logical.

It would have been rather unreasonable, IMO, to assume that large numbers of Perry fans would shell out good money and two hours of their time just to catch a quick cameo.

But I think you’re right. I think the interviewer is either suspicious by nature, or he expects his readership to be. But more important than the question was the answer Mr. Perry gave.
