The problem is that it's a one-sided affair. They'll tell you what *they* are doing, but frack yourself if they care what -you- are doing. Twitter is for social interaction, not self-hype and spamming. If you don't follow those who follow you, you're self-hyping and/or spamming, and both are contemptable. ...Now, I'll be honest here - there are exceptions. There are those using Twitter for vital information purposes, such as weather and traffic reports, and the Mars Rovers have been one of the best Tweets to follow. But those behind the Tweets also take the time to reply to those who @reply to them. Where the self-hypers and spammers are concerned, they're only interested in themselves, and not interacting with those who're following them. But I suppose it was expected.
