well as for B4 being commandeered by DATA – Data has “conscience”
Does Data’s own survival superceeds B4’s existance?
Data fought in the past for this very notion with the EXCOMPS
I suspect that a “greater good” excuse just wont be enough for Data’s programing to take control over other sentiet being (as mentaly challanged as it may be)….

…please chill. We all saw Spock die. We all saw TSFP and cheered when Spock lived again.

Was it conveltuted?

Yup!

Was it a cheap plot device to make Nimoy fans happy and pave the way for more movies with the Kirk-Spock_McCoy trio?

Yes!

Did we all accept it as canon even though we all knew it was kind of a cheap stunt?

You bet your arses we did.

So why, oh why can we not accept the return of Data with the same open arms?
