Ok....this is going to be an epic trailer lol.

I am happy that they mention that they true to the heart and family and the respect to Gene but what really excited me were all the other things mentioned. Positive remarks about JJ are always assurances "magician and wizard". "he had a clear vision." ILM always does great work and going back and watching the Wrath of Khan after 27 years it is still beautiful, the nebula scene especially. Even after all that JJ has seen its nice to know that ILM still "blew him away," and Quinto was speechless when he saw the entire film, which just means we are going to be wiping up some drool?....ok a lot of drool.

Orci: it is prequel and sequel. All of rem canon precedes this film.

Abrams to fans: I can assure you I am making this film for you. ....There are a million reference and it adheres to canon.

Non believers....TAKE THAT!

58. Shatner_Fan_Prime

I think it's intentional. I seriously feel (and this is only my opinion) is taht they want Nimoy's whole presence in the movie to be larger than life. After seeing him in that trailer.. I seriously wished I hadn't. I would have the first time I see him be on the big screen.. for that "wow factor." Yes, we all know he is in it.. there was no secret there... we know Nimoy plays a pivotal part in this movie. I think they want the "big reveal" for him.

Once the movie is released, I am sure his poster will be released.

I see where you guys are coming from; I too want some surprises saved. But we all know he's in it, that's never been a secret. And it just seems odd for the marketing to ignore him completely. I mean damn, that trailer he was in wasn't even released in theaters. I would think at least some of the general movie going public would think it was cool if they saw him and realized he was a part of it.

And I also wish he'd gotten his own poster, like all the other main characters.

I have no doubt it will be. I have full confidence in how this team handles it. Such an exciting time to be a Trek fan!

MP:

I agree. We've seen enough of Spock Prime in the promos, and it all won't make a difference in two months, anyway. I can only hope that his entrance and egress are handled with aplomb

The Quickening:

What I am saying is the film can be "epic" without spacebattles. But it can also have epic spacebattles, which I am sure we'll see in 2 months!

I have to agree with you Goverator... while it was great seeing him in the one trailer... I wish I hadn't seen him. The visual image of Spock was so powerful after all these years, I would have prefered to see it just in the movie.

50. Shatner_Fan_Prime

I'm not surprised, nor am I disappointed. Sometimes the best is served last. If I'm going to see him again, I want it to be absolutely epic, and the best way for that to happen will be on the big screen, not in a movie trailer.
