Star Trek The Experience To Re-open in May? (Maybe) February 11, 2009

Star Trek The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton closed its gates for final time last September, but soon after TrekMovie and the Las Vegas press reported that talks were under way to find a new home in downtown Las Vegas at the Neonopolis center. Now the manager of Neonopolis is talking about opening up in time for the new Star Trek movie in May, TrekMovie has done some double checking to see how doable that is.

3rd Star Trek Trailer Coming With Watchmen – March 6th February 10, 2009

Today TrekMovie has confirmed that Paramount is readying a third trailer for JJ Abrams Star Trek movie. This new theatrical trailer will premiere on March 6th in front of the biggest movie of the Spring, Watchmen, and it will include brand new footage not seen in past trailers. More details below. First Look At Playmates Star Trek Toys Packaging [UPDATED]

CBS has hooked up with GoAnimate.com, a site with the motto ‘anyone can animate,’ to give fans the ability to create their own Star Trek animated stories, based on the classic Original Series. Star Trek VOIP/Skype USB Communicator Coming Soon + Bluetooth Communicator Later in 2009

Last year CBS announced that one of their new Star Trek licensees was Dream Cheeky, the maker fun computer accessories. Dream Cheeky revealed their first Trek Device, a USB TOS communicator, at the recent CES show in Vegas. Star Trek Online @ NYCC: New Details + Video + Screenshots + more

There is a lot of news on the upcoming Star Trek Online MMORPG coming out of New York Comic Con this weekend. Cryptic held a panel on STO and their other MMO Champions Online. For STO they released some new ship screenshots and a new video showing character races and customization. They also revealed new story and game play details.

Tyler Perry On His Role In Star Trek & Being Directed By JJ Abrams

Exclusive: Jonathan Frakes Talks ‘Trek Reunion’ Episode of Leverage, Type-casting & more

Jonathan Frakes started directing while still playing William Riker on Star Trek The Next Generation, going on to direct multiple Trek episodes, two TNG films, as well as many non-Trek films and TV shows. Next week TNT will air an episode of their heist show Leverage directed by Frakes and featuring guest spots for Trek actors Brent Spiner and Armin Shimerman, so we thought now would be a good time to check in with the bearded one.
