well im seeing it on the 7th of May. got my tix ! but im not even a fan of Star Trek. just looks like a good movie to see. and if people are worried about spoilers well….its just a movie. besides it comes out the day after for the rest of the world. I dont know why someone would want to watch a movie at 12:01am 1 day late lol. u could also wait during the day of the 8th to see it if tix are full for the midnight session.

they re-cajiggered their times for friday. was just midnight showsbut now all starts at 7. the sold out midnight is moved to 12:01 and some of those seats are empty as i guess people are going to the earlier 7pm… and now a 5? geeze. this is gonna hold down the opening weekend number since the thursday money won’t count towards the weekend. i have my 16 for sat night in the dome.

#102 I recently enquired with IMAX Melbourne and they are unable to confirm if Star Trek Imax will join the schedule. I really hope Melburnian fans make known to Imax that ST needs to be seen in this format gawdamnit!!!!

Ah I am just happy that A: there is an IMAX theatre in my area and B: the movie is a two hours movie. I was hoping that JJ was joking when I said “around one and a half hours, who wants to sit through a two hour movie.”

Well this movie could go for over two hours as far as I am concerned.

Hi there just wanna say I hate how it looks. It’s TOS meets the new War of the worlds ships (nacels anyway) meets some fan boy’s wet dream.

All this ship needs is a ground FX’s package and spinning rims.

When you look at the picture you can almost hear “idst, idst, idst,” and if you look really closely you’ll see girl’s dancing and swinging on poles just beyond the windows.

But you have to look really close.

I like the new Enterprise pictures but i still think the nacelles is about 10% to big. I Also think neck could have been little thicker when it connects to engineering hull.

Running time 126 min is exactly the same length as Mission: Impossible III directed by Abrams. It is a good length but i would have loved 140 min playing time was true.
