I don't care what the fans call this movie. I don't care what the makers call this movie. I don't even care that you've all just spent pages and pages arguing about silly stuff. I just want this movie to rock!

The Enterprise looks too much like NCC-1701A. Should look more like the Defiant in Enterprise's "In A Mirror, Darkly".

339: A very long time ago, on a usenet board far, far away, I remember reading some vehement arguments about whether Deep Space Nine was properly abbreviated DS9 or DSN.

To my mind, that still eeks out the victory for most worthless Star Trek argument ever.

As for the absolute dumbest thing I've ever read on the Internet, the clear winner is a conspiracy theory once posted to a sports-related chat board, which postulated that the NBA had intentionally cut the power to a nationally televised Chicago Bulls game, so that the television network would have an excuse to run a Kevin McHale interview where he criticized Michael Jordan while power was being restored, so that Michael Jordan would get mad and be motivated to play harder, which would then create an increase in TV ratings.

Haven't seen that one beat in 15 years of internet reading, though some of the comments in the "this movie can't possibly be good because the floors are not realistic" thread came close.

Wait a minute- hasn't Kirk saving the galaxy at various times saved Romulus? For instance, in Balance of Terror, him destroying the bird of prey, according to the Romulan Commander, keeps the Romulans from starting a war they can't win. Also, Kirk does plenty to keep the Klingons in check, so they can't come flooding over the Romulan border. Heck- Kirk (and Earth) keep the Federation going, and said Federation teams up (however surreptitiously) with the Romulans to defeat the Dominion. Without the Federation, the Borg would likely overrun the Alpha and Beta quadrants.

Perhaps Nero is planning for this by by destroying Klingon fleets and giving the Romulans future tech, but it would seem he has a high chance of becoming another Annorax, continually altering timlines, but never making it truly the way he wants it.

I demand an apology from JJ Abrams, Bob Orci, and Leonarsd Nimoy. They know the movie should be called Star Trek: Timmy! and yet they continue to call it Star Trek: BFD or Star Trek: 8 + 01=? or star Trek: What's German for "oh, no" again?

346 -- Interesting and humorous. And where will Trekmovie.com exist if all the Federation planets are destroyed? Not to mention crickets.

Perhaps Nero would have been better off joining the French Foreign Legion or going to cosmetology school...

Do you suppose that Nero has really thought out his long term plan?

"Ah, at last! I've destroyed Vulcan and all the worlds of the Federation!"

[Drums fingers on control panel.]

"At last! Yes, at last! That felt good!"

"Well...I guess I'll go read some posts on trekmovie.com."
