The FOX description for the TNG reunion on Family Guy.
In the episode titled “Not All Dogs Go to Heaven,” the "Next Gen" crew (Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes) will provide guest voices as the Griffin family heads to the annual Quahog “Trek” convention.
Stewie blows a fuse when he doesn’t get a chance to ask his favorite ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ cast members any questions," reads the logline. "He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog.
Family Guy’s “Not All Dogs Go to Heaven” airs Sunday March 29th on FOX.

Looks good!
Kudos to the crew for being able to laugh at themselves.
brian in a red shirt?
first??
OH ME MUCHO GUSTAAA
What’s with the giant glasses?
theres bound to be a few digs at the level of quality of their films….(esp Nemesis)
any news on that potential TWOK Family Guy? ~~(like Blue Harvest)
Patrick Stewart is exactly the same as his character in American Dad! Haha
Is Wesley holding a Benzite teddy bear?
Oh man I can’t wait for this! Although, shouldn’t Jonathon Frakes should be a heck of a lot taller….
No Barclay? Dang, that kind of sucks! Oh well, at least they’re “back together.”
I love that Patrick Stewart regularly voices on American Dad, I mean, where else am I gonna get to hear him say he’s gonna “party his nose clean off his face”?
That’s a TOS set!
Awesome!
This will be a great episode
Hmmm, I dunno if it’s just me, but the character the character that should be Wil Wheaton looks a lot more like Robert Duncan McNeil
Not much of a Family Guy Fan, but I would probally watch this episode!
trekkie1701D, I thought the same thing.
I love the pic!
how come Wesley looks like Barclay?
This looks awesome. I don’t watch Family Guy with any regularity but I definitely have to check this out.
Ha ha, I don’t know why, but the idea of the entire TNG cast going to Disneyland together really cracks me up. : D
This is gonna be classic. Can’t wait.
Ahhh, Family Guy. There is truly no finer example of classic cartoon comedy. “You will BOW to me!”
Frakes has Mickey Mouse ears? This should be fun to watch!
Blue Harvest was great. But I loathe the Family Guy. South Park did a great parody of the typical Family Guy gag. After seeing that, whatever interest in the regular episodes of FG I could muster was lost.
Lucky for them they are geeky enough to put a sci-fi parody of their own on. Because obviously without my approval this show has been a dismal failure.
jk
Oh this looks like fun!
Oh, and #11–
I don’t think so. looks pretty TNG’y to me. Save for Stewie’s bedroom
I’m happy that Gates McGfadden is still able to find work in Hollyweird.
Saucer of milk, post #26?
Love Family Guy, the newer series aren’t really available over here on telly (save for what they play on BBC3) but I will catch it online!
I always love the way that some people simply don’t get family guy, makes me smile :)
What’s with Sirtis wearing those humongous glasses? And Patrick Stewart looks like Avery Bullock from American Dad, down to the suit. And Wil does look like Robert Duncan McNeill.
So where is Denise Crosby, then, in the picture??
I thought Wil was supposed to be Dwight Schultz!
Where’s Denise Crosby?
Even as a cartoon… Marina Sirtis is still eff-ing hot.
#29 -
They’ve been on vacation. You’ve never seen giant sunglasses like those before? Ever? Novelty shops carry them all the time.
I hate to ask this question — and it’s a question that’s foremost in the minds of any True Trek Fan (TM), but…
Is this canon?
Stewie is God.
Except for Wil Wheaton, those are awesome charicatures!
I hope Meg will be the red shirt… :D
#34 OH PLEASE…I am so sick of hearing about canon. Let’s just have fun for pete’s sake
I love how the Transporter has a little Star Trek logo on it.
A few speculated plot points:
1. Stewey operates a number of devices rivaling TNG technology in sophistication, starting with the transporter.
2. That Neil Goldman kid is involved in some way.
3. A transporter malfunction is involved or mentioned.
4. There is some form of mistaken identity leading to some form of hilarity.
5. Wil Wheaton’s character, “Wil Wheaton,” blogs about something relating to Trek. (Wil Wheaton will also probably blog about Family Guy.)
6. One word: Chromedome.
That is all.
Yawn
TNG is done, get over it.
Re: people’s strange confusion about the glasses – isn’t it obvious they were all at a carnival or a fair or something before Stewie beamed them to his room(See balloons, popcorn, stuffed animals, etc.)??
I been waitin’ on this one forever. Can’t wait for the 29th!
lol cant wait!
Where’s Denise Crosby?
The more I look at it, I don’t think the guy with the teddy bar is supposed to be Wil. Will has darker hair and no double chin…Dwight Schultz maybe, he has done an ep. or two of Family Guy in the past.
I love the straw.
I have to wait two weeks! Argh!
Where is Welshey?
Denise Crosby is conspicuously absent in the picture. Perhaps she gets killed off in some meaningless fashion early in the episode?
Dwight Schultz might be a cool cameo, but we do know that Wil Wheaton is in the episode, so I’m thinking this might be something along the lines of what Futurama did in “Where No Fan Has Gone Before,” and it actually is Robert Duncan McNeil as a nod to the rest of the franchise and then Wil comes in later, once Stewie realizes the mistake preceeded a joke or two about the quality of Voyager.
I, for one, am glad that Denise Crosby isn’t in it as far as we know. In TNG she didn’t feel that Trek was good enough for her and left, later she realized her mistake and ever since she has been mooching off of the series’: Sela, Time Travel, Trekkies.
before I’m slaughtered, I just looked it up on IMDB, and I didn’t realize Crosby was in this show, but my reasoning still stands.
I love that Picard is holding what looks to be a bottle of bubbles.
I see the manatees writing again. ;)
# 34. This is Canon. I truly believe it is. but I could be wrong. i think Stewie will simply make it so. Wont he. Oh I could be wrong.
Wow they all look spot on, this should be my fave Family Guy yet. Gates looks mm mm good as always :]
Stewie looks maaaaad
38 and 54, it seems that there are a few Unbelievers out there who do not believe in the sanctity of canonicity! They, surely, are not True Trek Fans (TM)!
The world would surely end if, for example, there was not a canonically reasonable explanation for why a small Earth child, such as the aforesaid Stewart Griffin, would be able to manufacture as sophisticated (and potentially lethal!) device as a Starfleet transporter. (Perhaps some form of retcon could be ratiocinated? An incursion by the Borg into the cartoon universe that left the seeds of the transporter technology visible onscreen — a blueprint, perhaps? Or maybe Gary Seven is implicated in some way. Such imponderables! But delicious ones, nonetheless!)
For that matter, why no mention of Welshie from Futurama in the annals of canon?
The world must surely know!
;)
What the Deuce?!
Family Guy Episode Analysis (Headwear Edition)
Appropriately enough, Hat Rick proudly presents an analysis of the headwear in the above-presented cartoon. Note, with care, that a Goofy hat, a Deely-Bob, and, of course, a Mickey Mouse hat, or reasonable facsimiles thereof, are on the heads of various of the FG characters.
Clearly, then, the characters came from a cast excursion to Six Flags Magic Mountain, or, posslbly, Knott’s Berry Farm.
Interesting that the cartoon model of Patrick Stewart is just a re-use of the character he voices in “American Dad” (CIA Deputy Director Bullock) who was modelled after him. :)

Congratulations! There has to be one every thread, and you’re it.
That’s awesome, I can’t wait to watch this!
Can’t Stand Family Guy, Has good Gags Sometimes…But Spiner with the Nachos is Spot on!! and Gates with The Popcorn just Floored me.
60, Steve Smith in American Dad is quite the sci-fi fan, as well. It would be interesting to see a crossover wherein Steve and Neil geek out at the convention, along with Stewie Griffin. Even better would be a cameo by Roger, playing, of course, a Klingon.
Anybody that has been to a Star Trek convention knows that this is exactly what they look like!
Two of my favourite things, Trek and Family Guy. This is going to be insanely hilarious, I can’t wait. :D
Anyone remember the TNG cutaway where Picard says “Lt. Worf’s head looks like a fanny!” Comedy gold.
I wish I could be in Quahog for that convention. They have all the stars of the show!
#8 “Is Wesley holding a Benzite teddy bear?”
I know!
#11 “That’s a TOS set!”
No, it’s a TNG set.
#34 “Is this canon?”
lol, good one.
I can’t wait to see it. I’ve been wanting to see a new ep. of TNG for so long now…
The real question is….is that a “Reading Rainbow” picture on Stewie’s bedroom wall?
A rainbow. On Stewie’s bedroom wall. Somehow, it all makes sense.
Why has no one said anything about Dorn’s Daffy duck hat? It makes sence he would ware something that funny. Also I thought Frakes was taller then Dorn? Maybe the black goo monster was at the convention and killed Crosby.
Seth MacFarlane is the man he came into Quarks a couple times a real stand up guy and a total Trekkie so thanks to him for bringing the cast of TNG together for us to enjoy one more time. He even signed a picture of him and the Robot Chicken guys on the bridge of the Enterprise D for me and a couple of the staff of the Experience.
#71 “Why has no one said anything about Dorn’s Daffy duck hat”
Because that’s not a Daffy duck hat?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goofy
LeVar Burton didn’t really get the beard until ’96 in First Contact.
Marina looks hot. Wesley’s bear is definitely a Benzite. This looks awesome.
*Spoiler*
To the person who said “ffft, TNG is over, get over it” or whatever, please. Star Trek Countdown is clearly showing that the entire events of ST09 occur because of Picard and Data (and Spock) (“Unification” theme). It all fits together nicely.
#73 yes I messed up. I knew it was Goofy. I was just wasted. I was just going to bed. We sometimes goof when we are tired.
This one picture is hilarious, I can’t wait to see the entire episode. That entire widgamacallit movie coming out in May will all seem secondary to this hallmark television event ;-)
I just have to say “CoolWhip”
I can’t wait!
The reverence FG has for Trek is wonderful. Thank you, Seth!
This will be hilarious!
Why u saying it like that? U don’t pronounce “H” :)
I can’t wait to watch this episode. Looks like it will be hilarious!
Wow, the artist is generous with the ladies… especially Marina’s gigantic… uh, glasses.
What I want to see now is the next FUTURAMA movie being a meeting of the TOS cast with JJ’s cast, so I can watch Shat bloody Pine’s nose, and then teach him how to wipe it away with the back of his hand, and smile at the guy who did it before he proceeds to kick his ass.
Or just watch Nimoy’s Spock glare at Quinto’s Spock, and have Leela yell, “Stop, you’re killing him!”
#59 — Wouldn’t the presence of a Goofy hat and Mickey ears point to an excursion to, I dunno, Disneyland? Instead of Knotts or Magic Mountain, neither of which can sell Disney merchandise?
Just sayin’.
Now, back to watching the “Side Boob Hour.” ;)
When are they going to show “The Empire Strikes Back” episode?
The guy behind LeVar Burton and Patrick Stewart isn’t Wil Wheaton, and it isn’t Dwight Schultz … I believe it is John de Lancie — Q!
I think this is really pretty cool. And that’s mostly becuase these actors have ability to poke a little fun at there own characters that they have played for ever. There are willing to have fun with it. Besides I’m sure any excuse to get together (all of them) is like a no brainer for the guys.
For those who have asked about more “Blue Harvest” like Family Guy episodes… This season’s finale will be called “Something Something Something Dark Side…” And will be a parody of The Empire Strikes Back.
FG fans will recognize the title as a joke used earlier in the series.
Is that hair under Michael Dorn’s hat??? WTF?? Michael Dorn is bald now…dude has no hair at all.
Sirtis’ glasses remind me of the time Osama was on Family Guy- we wore the same glasses.
@90: Exactly, they are the very same glasses as used in a previous Family Guy osama gag, except this time they are green instead of yellow.
I love the bags under Frakes’ eyes. I love LeVar’s straw. I love Family Guy.
“Look everyone, Mr. Worf’s forehead looks like a fanny!” – Picard
Everyone laughs at him, even Data.
“You can all suck my ridges!!!” – Worf
If they can all come back together for this, can we get a Star Trek 12 with the Next Gen cast? Um, PLEASE? I’m an 80s kid, TNG is all I’ve got! (The original concept behind Nemesis II was so awesome it would’ve made Nemesis seem a lot better, and make a lot more sense (since the Nemesis storyline was left unfinished; B4, Riker/Titan). If anyone could do it, it’s J.J.
Denise Crosby was in 20 too many episodes….. honestly, she was the dead weight in TNG and couldn’t be axed quick enough. I really loved the premise of Yesterday’s Enterprise though. Too bad it couldn’t have been about a more interesting character than Tasha.
Got truly sick of seeing her show up after her death… as Sela, and in the finale. Now she’s in Phase II…. ARRRRRGH.
I don’t watch Family Guy but I’m watching this episode xD

This tale sounds familiar…
“My son,” the father said, “you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.”
What no Wrath of Khan spin off? Bad call.
I think Denise Crosby is getting a bad rap here. One of the reasons why she left the show was because she had nothing to do. I remember reading an interview wherein she said if she’d gotten more character bits like the beginning of “Skin of Evil” (where she was getting ready to compete in some kind of competition), she would have stayed. This is not just an actress hissy fit, methinks. TNG turned into the Picard-Data Show (especially the movies). If the Yar character seems to be “dead weight”, it’s probably because the writers made her that way.
That’s one of the problems I saw with the show from the outset, and I think it’s been a problem for every spin-off “Trek”: too many main actors in the ensemble. TOS wasn’t an ensemble show. It was a show with two stars and supporting actors.
When you have an “ensemble”, everyone naturally expects to get equal treatment. It’s all a group thing, right? But that’s not how it works in the real world.
I’m just sayin’.
hilarious! I almost never watch this show but I’ll definitely be tuning in on the 29th!
I love the fact that Frakes is wearing a blue shirt. Anyone else notice that he’s always wearing blue shirts at conventions (when not sporting the hawaiin prints)?
Awesome .. look forward to seeing this
I’m still up for a TNG animated series..not family guy style Famiuly guy has indeed grown on me over the years but i find myself saying that some of the jokes are too easy. Wish i had a tivo…wait..i have a superbetamax.
looking foreward to the show!
Frakes is half-an-inch taller than Dorn, while Sirtis is 5-inches shorter than Gates McFadden.
#11
It does not look like a TOS set. You are completely wrong!
It looks exactly like the TNG transporter room:

And nothing like the TOS transporter room:
