Personally I think that the last episodes of Smallville (whenever that is) should end with Clark getting the 'big suit'

How many goosebumps and shivers would that send up and down the fans bodies?

Me for one.

#41: Seth Rogen as the Green Hornet.

be afraid. be very afraid.

Somehow I think after Ben Affleck tried tackling 'Daredevil,' big name brand actors, for the most part, have shied away from doing lead character roles in superhero flicks (Robert Downey, Jr., Tobey Maguire excepted).

Besides, does anyone really want to remember George Clooney as Batman? I didn't even see it because of all the negative press it got. I'm sure Clooney remembers all too well the bashing he suffered for that film.

Personally, from everything I have read so far about the 'Green Hornet' flick, I am scared. I think the casting choices and other approaches are suspect at best.

I hope I am wrong (like I was when Michael Keaton took on the role for Batman). I tend to think superhero roles are best left to the liltle-knowns or unknowns.

For example, I just read yesterday that at one point during pre-production of the original 1950s "The Day the Earth Stood Still" Spencer Tracy was being considered for the role of Klaatu. What a disaster that would have been! Michael Rennie was the logical and superior choice (even far surpassing Keanu Reeve's interpretation, says me).

I was in Afghanistan when the new TDTESS came out. If I may ask, what was the general reaction to the film's release here in the states?

I saw it and personally I was a bit underwhelmed by it.

Seth Rogen as Britt Reid a.k.a. The Green Hornet? Gimme a break! Might as well cast Will Smith as James West in The Wild Wild West. Yeah, that worked out really well. Seriously, why not George Clooney?

Did I miss something here? Is that Robert Carlyle in SG.U? Is he in the pilot or a regular? I can't believe that. Why would he go to TV, he's a fantastic actor. Trainspotting, The Full Monty, 51st State? That's crazy!!

Yes! Thor could be even more kick-ass than Iron Man!

Hope we get the Skarsgards as Thor & Odin, Josh Hartnett as Loki, Natalie Portman as the Enchantress, and "Thor-buster" armor for Iron Man!

SWEET!!!

Have to admit everything I hear about Thor is very exciting. Branagh really seems to be bringing an enthusiasm and postiven vibe to this. Hope it turns out as well as it seems to be going.

As far as "The Thing". A question: Anyone know what happened to that crazed genius Rob Botin? Sure would be nice to get him involved in this prequel and give the actors something real to react to other than CGI nothingness.

"Walt Disney Pictures has set a July 16, 2010 release date for the Jon Turteltaub-directed adventure film "The Sorcerer’s Stone"."

I think that's supposed to be "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", not "Sorcerer's Stone" which was Harry Potter.
