Hi, Everyone!:

Hi, AJ!

I want to ask you that the new doctor who species, the Tritovore, look too simular or too close to the Xindi species from Star Trek:Enterprise.

Am I wrong? Or am I stupid?

Please let me know.

Thanks for your time.

Just wanted to put in my support for this season of Lost. Season 5 is the best since the very first season. Best show on TV right now. Thank you JJ!

Hey Rosario, thanks again.

Sounds like Julie Taymor's doing in the Spider-Man musical, more of what I wanted the movies to be. May have to make another trip to New York next Feb.

Interesting note: I was watching on YouTube a 1974 TV movie called "Planet Earth," which was the second of three post-atomic war science fiction films (unfortunately, failed pilots) based on a Gene Roddenberry premise.

The heroes, a PAX team, has a mission to save a man named Jonathan Connor.

Also the villains in the film, the Kreeg, a violent mutant race, look somewhat similar to the new Klingons (movie series).

If you've never seen any of these I recommend looking up "Genesis II, Planet Earth" and "Strange New World (the latter not being as good as the first two)." You can also see "The Questor Tapes" on YouTube. I am not sure but his last TV pilot called "Spectre," a horror concept, might be on YouTube as well.

It's too bad some savvy DVD distributor hasn't put together a "Gene Roddenbery Collection." I'd buy them in a hurry!

51. No its a whole new show... Universe may not be the final title...
The 3 episodes are one about the universe begining to end, one about time travel, and one about Alien life... taken from Hawking's view of what is and what could happen...

It's all new... and it's all gonna be great! Obviously can't say a huge amount about the content... but you guys will dig it!

The book "Flash Forward" was excellent, but it involved everyone on Earth getting a brief look at their own lives thirty years from now. This means everyone finds out that their lives do or do not go as planned... marriages have failed, careers fizzled out, one character discovers he will be a murder victim.

I just don't see how getting a look at their lives a few months from now can have nearly the same impact. So what if someone's not the bestselling novelist they hope to be, its only a few months down the road. I really wonder why they're even bothering with this show's butchered premise. The show is planned for five years? They'll be lucky if it goes five weeks, considering it's on quick-with-the-chopping-block ABC.

Elsewhere...

There was already a program called "Stephen Hawking's Universe" on PBS in the 1990s. Is this new one the same show, with updated CGI (which was also done for Carl Sagan's "Cosmos"?)

There was also already a back-door pilot for "Riverworld" a few years ago, starring Brad Johnson and Emily Lloyd. Sci-Fi (SyFy's) already trying again?
