I’m just glad John Cho doesn’t look like John Cho in his poster. He doesn’t look like the great George Takei… but at least he doesn’t look like John Cho.

I am so looking forward to this film, but I have to admit I’m really over the black and white marketing campaign. The face shots of actors most people don’t even know aren’t helping, either.

if it were the originals then we would instantly recognise who they were because the originals were so identified with the original characters. You have Shatner as Kirk and everyone knows who it is.

With a bunch of unknowns as our favourite characters it is a harder sell for the film. The exception being Quinto and that is because of Spocks’s look only.

although these actors will be good, they will not take the place of the originals. I look forward to seeing what the new actors will do but to me they wont be the same.

Perhaps the great B’Orci could drop in and spill the character names! Just the last names. Well, at least it’s only now a few days before the Sydney premiere. Then we expect all beans to be spilled!
