What's with all the cancellations of late: Kruge/Maaltz 2-pack, Sisko/Dukat 2-pack, Boomer/D'anna 2-pack! The Kruge/Maaltz sculpts are awesome, what a shame! Two such pivotal characters as Boomer/D'anna who have no existing figures to date, you'd think the demand would be there?! And what's with DS9 not getting the attention it deserves... no Bajoran Kira, Quark, Rom, Nog, Dukat, Damar,Garak,Jake, etc. !! And poor Voyager... nothing much on the horizon save for the Borg!

Also what's with the inconsistency re: female legs? Janice's look black,Christine's are flesh-colored... either go with the dark pantyhose look for both or keep them flesh-colored for both figures, although darker legs would be more TV accurate! I guess Christine is a new sculpt, wheras Janice is a Dax Tribbles figure body re-use!!!

Yeoman Janice rand has pretty blue eyes, not brown ! I hope this is corrected before final approval! And why can't they have her hair come forward over her shoulders a bit,it would look more accurate! At least it's better than the ponytail playmates version! Diamond select has done nice hair sculpts for Ronon Dex, Beverly Crusher, etc. with some hair forward and some back... I think Janice would look better with some hair forward as well!

Scott B

That new model is nifty. Even niftier is the absolutely massive decal sheet that comes with the model. You can now build any version of the Enterprise or any other ship you wish. If I'm not mistaken, there may even be some Mirror universe decals.

The Trice pics are awesome. I have pored over them at length. To be honest, I have accurized my DST ship based on those pics.

And thomoz, my DST ships don't have huge gaps in the seams. Yes, there are seams. It is a production toy, after all. But I thought those were some terrible pictures that didn't do the finished product any justice.

Re: THX and Dr. Image - Thanks, guys for the info and linkage -- those photos of Mike Trice's are dynamite. They're now bookmarked. I've seen the 11 foot model at the Smithsonian on several occasions, but never could get a good look at the top of the saucer, and when I was there the last time, I was shocked by the restoration. She looked like an actress who'd had 3 facial surgeries too many.

Re: Dave in RI - I had no idea! Thanks for that welcome tidbit. I made the assumption that they just used the old AMT molds, grid lines, droopy nacelles and all! I'll have to track one down now!

I have to say: the workmanship on those $38 Diamond Select ships is atrocious. The saucer looks like it's spreading open left-and-right,
the gaps in the plastic are so huge.

Sure hope they look better in person, although I doubt it!

That remastered Enterprise is a sexy bish. :D

Also, I'm hoping that Hot Wheels Trek09 Enterprise with red nacelle caps is accurately reflective of the movie ship.

Or maybe that and the electronic toy are BOTH right. Red for impulse flight, blue during warp?
