The Eminem video is freaking hilarious low-brow humor. No, don’t expect him to make a video you’d need at least twenty years of college, several philosophy degrees, and the conjured ghost of Stanley Kubrick to understand – just take on the fun as is – that being the voyages of an out-of-the-closet geek boldly satirizing celebrities and pop-culture like no low-brow geek as done before (all whilst perfecting his Vulcan nerve pinch no less). :3

Haters – really. I mean come on. This is when you watch the end of I, Mudd again and ask yourself how ponderously transcendent it was.

I for one, will enjoy the hell out of my cheap laughs and have another shot of Snow Queen.

How can Hustler use the name “Star Trek” without getting sued? I think about all those unauthorized Nitpicker’s Guides and the film guides Van Fleet put out in the 90s that were unable to use the full name on the covers because they didn’t have permission.

When is CBS going to set up and support the movie? How about some tie-in promotion fellas? How about some prime-time airings of Star Trek Remastered? Dedicate a night to showing an uncut version of The Menagerie and a “making of” the new movie to round out the three hours. Or a Best of Trek week…a different UN-CUT remastered episode for seven straight days leading up to the movie premiere. Host the episodes with members of the new cast.

Be a good corporate citizen for Paramount. You might even make some money while you’re at it. (I’m surprised by how many Star Trek fans don’t even know there was a remastered project. Show it in Prime Time and you might sell a few sets.) And set yourself up for the inevitable return of Trek to TV…in whatever form that is.
